Join us at St. Paul's on Sunday,September 6th at 8 and 10 am at 999 Flamevine Lane. If you can't join us in person, check out the livestream at https://StPaulsChurch.sermon.net/embed/main/21098481. It's the Season of Pentecost and Pr. Jon Robbins will preach on we as Christians are to interact with government authorities from Romans 13:1-8 in which Paul writes, "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." (Romans 13:1) The Roman authorities in the 1st Century ruled with an iron fist, and often persecuted Christians. And yet the Lord tells the early church (and us today), that God Himself put these authorities in place. We're called to respect those who serve in this way, and to work for the peace and prosperity of the land in which we live. Join us in this great endeavor!

Dear St. Paul’s,

Many of you might be aware that Jennifer, Rosie and I went on mission to India with Bishop Ron and Susie in 2014, and I returned in 2015. Many of the pastors and new believers we met and served with were Nepali. Pr. Gautam Silal was our host, and serves as the spiritual leader of dozens of congregations in Northeast India and Nepal.

Many of you have seen the devastation caused by the rupture of the glacial reservoir, causing flash floods throughout that region. We’ve received a report from Pr. Gautam that 11 churches under his care are suffering severely with missing and perished members as well as damaged homes and churches.

Please pray for all in Nepal.

“Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” (Matthew 20:31)

Pr. Jon

It's the Season of Pentecost and Pr. Jon Robbins will preach on God's plan for the Jewish people from Romans 9:1-5 which includes "I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen, according to the flesh..." Nothing brought greater heartache for the Apostle Paul than the rejection of Jesus by so many of his fellow Israelites. But neither God, nor Paul ever gave up on God's Chosen People, and nor will we. God is faithful to keep every promise to the Jewish people and to us--join us!
