Traffic Alert: Train Incident / Road Closure

This morning at 7:20 a.m., IRCSO responded to a freight train vs. pedestrian crash at the 77th Street railroad crossing, just west of Old Dixie Highway.

Sadly, the pedestrian — an adult male — was pronounced deceased on scene. His name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Deputies and railroad officials are currently on scene investigating the cause of the crash. Due to the length of the train, several crossings in the area will remain closed until the train can be moved. Please plan alternate routes if you are traveling in this area.

The building reset has been completed - so no need for anyone to come tomorrow to help. Following the new flooring and carpet, many hands made light work today to get everything back in place for Sunday. Thank you to all!

The building looks great and will continue to serve us well for years to come. Let’s all work together to steward well the new carpet, flooring, and paint.

If you bring your coffee or water bottle to church on Sundays, please be sure they have a spill-proof lid. Parents - help your kids remember to keep food and drink in the narthex.

We’ve also placed our new supplemental hymnals out - the Sing! Hymnal. We’ll be enjoying singing many new songs together in worship.

Our choir went to Pastor Seth’s home after church today to sing to Leslie! They sang a medley of Christmas songs and hymns, as well as some of Leslie’s favorite hymns, and prayed for her. We have such a wonderful church family.

Our choir is preparing for the Advent season with hymns and songs that celebrate the coming of our Savior!
