Athlete of the Month - Ali Viersma

- "fca means so much to me because of how it has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of my faith and how to apply it to sports.

fca has impacted me in many ways and helped me to grow closer with the Lord. i have been able to minister to young kids at power camp, be the light for other athletes, and learn how to better lead with leadership huddles

fca is so important on campuses bc it encourages students to fellowship with other young believers and encourage others to as well!"

We have had the privilege of working with Ali for a few years now, from camp, to campus ministry, she has had such an impact on her teammates coaches and us FCA staff. She is an excellnt athlete and LOVES Jesus. So proud of her growth in the Word and her humility.

SRHS T&F FCA Huddle met today, Wednesday, April 15th, and Joniah Holson, University of Pennsylvania commit, shared testimony and challenged the athletes to trust in the plans that God has for their lives.

FCA Athlete and huddle leader - Reid Durham
"FCA holds a special place in my heart. As a multi sport athlete and a devout Christian I yearn for an environment where we can all love Christ through our commitment to sports.
FCA has made me grow in discipleship with others and also have grown my relationship with Christ as it was the first step into me reliving my faith.
Having a Christ-centered community for our athletes - that FCA brings - has been incredibly impactful and is necessary for our campuses.
My personal walk with the Lord has grown and FCA has been a catalyst for me stepping up into leadership and leading the Saint Edward's FCA campus huddle and our FCA camps!
Everyone needs to hear God’s word and I love FCA’s mission by incorporating it into our shared love for sports."

Coach Young and Master’s Academy Baseball huddle. We talked about Joshua 1:9 and 1 Corinthians 16:13 - even though we may not feel good enough or we think we’re not ready, that God calls us to be STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. Exciting for this team and the excellent coaching staff!

Christopher Maxon - I'm grateful for your humility through God's grace! I had the privilige and honor of baptising Christopher Maxon (fraduated from Fort Pierce Central High School). We (FCA) ministered to he and his twin brotjher, Christian, as well as his dad Coach Maxon for 4 years. I was able to work very closel and develop incredible relationships with them! A couple weeks ago he reached out to me saying he truly surrended to Jesus and wanted to get baptised. When asking about his testimony an the move of God on his life he mentioned:

Proverbs 1:22-23
22“How long will you who are simple love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?
23 Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings.

Praise God for you repenting and turning to our Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ, Chris!!!
