This past weekend during worship, we brought the story of creation to life with a dramatic reading inspired by James Weldon Johnson’s The Creation.

We had: thunder sticks, kids bringing forth plants, wind chimes, a rainbow streamer, bird sounds, rain sticks, laughter and a whole lot of participation
…but let’s be honest, the real stars of the morning may have been the animals who joined us! 🌟🐾🐠

As we celebrated God’s beautiful creation together, we were reminded that every creature has a place in God’s story. And as we looked around at the joy on everyone’s faces, we could almost hear God smiling and saying, “That’s good!”

And God saw all that God had made, and indeed, it was very good. 💚🐢🐇🦎🐍🐾

🌿 Creation Speaks Day Camp – Don’t Miss It! 🌿

Summer is almost here, and Day Camp at Our Savior is right around the corner June 8–12! This is one of the most joy-filled weeks of the year, where kids experience faith through music, games, crafts, stories, and time in God’s beautiful creation.

✨ Here’s the important part:
Spots are limited, and they will fill quickly, so don’t wait to sign up!

We want every child and youth to be part of this week. If cost is a concern, please don’t let that stop you, scholarships are available. Truly. We mean it. We would love nothing more than to make sure every family who wants to participate can.

This week is about more than just fun (though there will be plenty of that!): it’s about helping kids see how God’s love is all around them, speaking through creation in ways big and small.
