The Apostle Paul is the best example that I can bring to mind. On the Road to Damascus he went from thinking he knew what the truth was to the realization how wrong he truly was. There is a a time frame in which Paul disappears.

A man shared this story with me in the hopes of clarifying some issues that seem to be running amok among the "Hebrew Roots" types. One such issue is what people called "Sacred Namers".

This man shared that his ex-wife was Japanese. Her name is Kiyomi. English is not a big deal. The issue arises when her name is written in Japanese. You see, her parents had gone to a historian and paid to have a unique name drawn up. The issue is that it can be pronounced in one of two different ways.

The original usage of her name in Kanji: Kiyomi
The modern usage of her name in Kanji: Seikai

My point?

I grew up with the name of Jesus. I have since learned that he was a Jewish man who grew up in a Jewish Family who followed Jewish Tradition. When addressing traditional "Christians" I usually use the name of Jesus. To others I use Yeshua. After all, I am talking about the same person, right?

This shows what is the end result of anyone trying to achieve goals outside of Yeshua Ha'Mashiac.

1. There is no true rest. The expectation does not meet with reality. Reality always seems to come up shorter than what was expected!

2. There is no true comfort. The blanket is smaller than what you need. Again reality always seems find a way to bring its chill on the worst of days!
