One of the songs we sang during morning worship at Bethel yesterday was "Watching You". I understand how that for some people, the idea of God constantly watching us, seeing every deed, every thought, could really creep them out! It doesn't have to be that way!
If you are following God's way, actively living the Christian life, why should it bother us? I love the verse in Psalm 11:4 that says that "God's eyelids try the children of men". God is always aware of His children -- their joys, their sorrows, their temptations, every thing! That is a comfort to me! I love knowing that God is always there-- aware of all my needs, my insecurities, my tears , my heart aches, as well as my joys! It means He loves me and is there for me at any time!
Thank you God for your "all seeing eye" !!

Have you ever lost anything? I can't imagine anyone answering no . It happens to us all. A while back, my keys were missing for a few weeks. My husband finally found them way down in the corner of my recliner! Yesterday, I was looking for something I need for a craft. Nowhere to be found ! This morning I found it on the guest bathroom counter!! I can't count the times I've looked for my phone!!
Honestly, I think I would lose my head if it wasn't fastened on!! However, there is one thing I absolutely cannot afford to lose, and that is my eternal soul !! Mark 8:36 says it well : "What shall it profit if a man gain the whole world but loses his soul ?" The answer is, of course, nothing!!
So, if the soul is so important, what can I do to make sure it is saved, not lost? I must learn and do the will of God.
We must hear and learn , believe the Word of God - not men, repent of our sins and be baptized for the remission of sins-- not because you're already saved but to wash the sins away- Acts 22:16, Mark 16:16.

I was blessed to attend Ladies Day at the Whites Chapel Church of Christ yesterday! Speaker was Jennifer Nichols from Fayette. Jen led our minds in an excellent study of "Broken Crayons Still Color" . We are all broken in some way. None of us are perfect. None of us go through life untouched by pain, sorrow, heartache, regret! Though broken, there's still so much we can do, maybe doing it better because we are broken !
Seek out ways to be helpful to others. Each effort for good helps us to heal, bit by bit!
Be sure to turn to God and His word! He knows exactly what we need to be unbroken in His love! Heed His word, regardless of previous beliefs! God loves you and wants to help you!
We would love for you to come worship with us at Bethel church of Christ, about 2 1/4 miles out of Vernon on Hwy 18 East. Let's study His word together and help to heal each other's brokenness!

Morning sounds :

The airfryer oven humming as my homemade biscuits bake. The gurgle of the coffee pot brewing my wake up coffee. The dryer making a quiet sound as it dries the sheets from the linen change on the bed. All this, plus sunshine streaming in the windows.
So many comforts due to blessings from my heavenly Father! We all have so many things to be thankful for !! Take the time to remember God as you begin your day ! Thank Him for His abundant blessings! Take time today to read from His words! Feel the love surrounding you from above! God bless!
