Athletes, coaches, students, and families—today is a great day to reset our hearts and remember who we play for. As we step into this new week lets be committed to leading with integrity, encouraging our teammates, coworkers, friends and family and reflecting Christ in everything we do.

Praying for our athletes and schools across the area this week! Have a beautiful and blessed Sunday!

Sometimes we want things to happen on our schedule and our way. Athletes and coaches know how hard it is to wait for the right opportunity, the right season, or the right outcome. But God often uses those waiting moments to grow our faith, character, and trust in Him.

When we shift our focus from our success to His glory, everything changes.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31

Good Morning Vernon Area FCA Family!

As athletes, coaches, and leaders, it’s easy to focus on the pressure, the tough losses, busy schedules, injuries, expectations, or challenges we face on and off the field. But Scripture reminds us to shift our focus.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Gratitude changes the atmosphere. When we choose to talk about what God is doing instead of only what feels heavy, our perspective shifts. Our hearts soften. Our faith grows stronger.

In competition and in life, what we focus on will shape our attitude, our effort, and our energy. When we focus on Christ , His goodness, His provision, His purpose…… we begin to see blessings, even in the middle of challenges.

Today, I challenge our Vernon Area to start the day naming three blessings before mentioning one burden. Watch how it changes your mindset.

Let’s be competitors who lead with gratitude.
Let’s be teammates who speak life.
Let’s be leaders who point others to Christ.

So blessed to see so many like-minded individuals joining this new page—people who love our area youth and want to see them grow in Christ. What an incredible encouragement!

For those who may not know me, my name is Marli Burnett, and I am honored to serve as the Vernon Area Representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), covering Crowell, Quanah, Chillicothe, Vernon, Northside, and Harrold school districts. FCA’s vision is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

Over the past few months, I have been training, praying, and meeting with others who share a heart for this ministry and our schools. We are so blessed to live in a community where we can step into schools, build relationships, and share the hope of Christ.

I was so blessed to be a part of an event at Harrold Schools today! 💛

Being able to serve through FCA and step into this new journey has been such an exciting and faith-filled season. There is nothing better than getting to share the love of Christ!

I can’t wait to visit the other schools in our area and watch this ministry grow. God is already moving, and I’m so thankful to be a small part of what He’s doing!

Thank you John Paul Welch for including me in today’s events! It is a blessing to see Harrold building their foundation on the word of God!
