World Vision A/G family,
In the next few days the Boys Scouts of America will make a decision on whether or not to allow Homos*xuals as members and leaders. The following is a response by the Assemblies of God Superintendent Dr. George Wood, to the Boys Scouts of America.

“The Assemblies of God is committed to ensuring young men grow up with strong values. Since 1962 our Royal Rangers program, designed for grades K through 12, with 250,000 members across 87 nations, has sought to sharpen character and develop leadership skills in this critical age group.

We are saddened and disappointed to hear that Boy Scouts of America (BSA), an organization long devoted to biblical values, is now considering loosening the principles in which it was founded. Homos*xual behavior contradicts biblical teachings and God’s created order for the family and human relationships. We pray BSA will give careful consideration to this matter and hold firm to the beliefs that have made it a strong and influential organization for more than 100 years.”

We serve a Holy God, we are told to BE Holy as He is...that won't and can't happen if we do NOT die to self, and take up our Cross and follow Him! Think about it!

When Michael Brown read an article about how an American s*x symbol loves to speak in tongues and has to restrain herself from outbursts while attending church, he felt compelled to offer a lesson on "judging" believers. Do you agree?

A Biblical Worldview about what gives Life Meaning. There are four parts: 1. Wonder. Man was created to Wonder! It starts as a child, we are amazed at the simplest things. As we get older it takes more to cause us to Wonder...but even scripture tells us that unless we have the Faith of a child we won't see heaven...what do you suppose that means? Have you lost the Wonder. When people lost that...they lose Gratitude! They begin to think that THEY have provided for themselves, they have attained some kind of self-provision and we know God's Word says, "Every good and perfect gift comes from above." We even sing Amazing Grace. You see a Relationship with God si ALWAYS Wonderful...Full of Wonder. Think about it! What is YOUR view? I'll try and give the other three parts later. A Biblical Worldview about your: Origin. A Believer in Christ Jesus can UNDERSTAND that they are important to God, Why? In Genesis 1:27, the Bible says, "God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Man was created on the last day of Creative activity...the sixth day! Why did He wait to create man and woman? Were they an after thought? Were they a creative whim? NO! God waited until ALL the rest of creation was in place, because the heavens and the earth, the light, the earth, the plants, evening and morning, the sun, the moon, the stars, animals, beasts were created FOR man. God created all these things for US! Think about it...THAT is a Biblical Worldview! Genesis 1:26, "THEN God said, "Let US make man..." We were never an afterthought, He created all the previous things FOR us! Now, how could you possibly think you aren't important to Him? Your ORIGIN is God Himself and He showed His Love AT creation and THEN sending His Son to buy us back. Please thank God today that in your Worldview you ARE important! Much Love, Pastor Stan

Sunday, January 6, 2013 at World Vision Assembly of God, 10:30 am we begin a four-week series entitled, "What Were You Thinking?" Every Christian has a World View, does Yours line up with what the Bible says? Your thoughts WILL dictate your actions and if they are "of the world," guided by what is Politically Correct, or dominated by the Culture...sadly, you Can't be doing God's Will on earth. Hey Everyone, it is a New Year, 2013, Yea! I will be posting some thoughts about how to Live and Walk a Christian Life throughout the year. So here is my first post. The Bible says in II Corinthians 5:17, "If any man be in Christ he is a New Creature (creation), Old things have passed away, all things have become New." My quote, so it may not be perfect...feel free to look it up. Anyway, I have preached that verse probably dozens of times, but the last Sunday of 2012 the Lord put something very important on my heart. I preached that verse many times about ALL things becoming New. But the Lord emphasized to me...that won't happen until OLD things have passed away! So, in your life what "old" thing are you hanging onto? Old hurts, old lies, old ways, old grudges, old ways of dealing with life, old systems and traditions that DON'T line up with God's Word? So, I am encouraging to let OLD things pass away in and from your Life...SO, the New things can come! How about it, will you let God make ALL things be New? Lord, Bless all those who listen to the Word of the Lord and respond in Obedience. You ALONE have ALL the answers, so give us Faith to Believe, In Jesus Name, Amen Love You All! Rejoice in the Lord! I also want to invite ALL my friends to come to church this Sunday. We start Spiritual Emphasis Week. Pastor Wayne Hoag will be sharing the Bible with us...we will have a wonderful time. It is beginning of Fall and time to renew our Faith in the Lord Jesus. Time to make sure our hearts are right. Now don't just come Sunday am, but 6pm Sunday night AND Monday thru Wednesday at 7pm. There will be Children's Church for each service AND a light meal at 6pm Monday thru Wednesday. I am inviting YOU to come and be Blessed. Live in His Mercies daily...what a wonderful thing to do! This announcement is for ALL the World Vision Assembly of God Family. We will be starting church...ON TIME. The Sanctuary doors will be closed until 10:22 and then opened for an eight minute countdown. There will be Fellowship in the Hall with some refreshments until the doors open. Hope to see you there!

This is Pastor Stan. We'll try and start posting things on here. This month we have a Men's Breakfast, January 14, Saturday, at 9 am. I'll be cooking my famous Pollo Juevos with Tortillas and Salsa. We'll have a fun time with plenty to eat. This is a fellowship get-together. Guys, it will be worth the time. 9 to 10:30 or so.
Our Annual Business meeting will be Sunday, January 29 6 pm. We will be filling a couple Board member spots and hearing the Coordinators reports for 2011.
Please Join us on Sunday Mornings for Worship at 10:30 am. We have the Adventure Land Kids Ministry for children during the morning services and a Nursery. Love to have you visit us. Much Grace, Pastor
