We can only make sense of life once we understand the story we belong to. As people seek to connect their experience to an epic story, many settle for making themselves the main character. What story are you living into, and who is the main character? There is no easy way to say it: everyone will eventually die. We can try to minimize or trivialize it, but that doesn’t make it any less real or looming. However, the Bible is both honest and hopeful when it addresses the topic of death, and it calls us to do the same, preparing us to face this inescapable reality with courage and resolve.
