We sing about love constantly, but do we really understand it? This week’s message challenges us to stop settling for counterfeit versions of love driven by selfish desires and instead embrace the selfless, sacrificial love God modeled through Jesus.

1 Corinthians 13 isn’t just a wedding poem—it’s a corrective call to love others the way Christ first loved us. Patient. Kind. Never failing. That sounds impossible until we realize we can’t love well until we’ve truly received God’s love first. You are His beloved child, not because you earned it, but because He chose you.

Here’s your challenge: Who have you decided doesn’t deserve your love? Who are you asking to provide what only God can give? These aren’t easy questions, but they’re the ones that lead to transformation.

God’s love predates your obedience, your surrender, even your awareness of needing it. That’s real love.

What if the things we chase for fulfillment are actually cheap substitutes? Most of us already know what it’s like to chase something that promised relief—and made things worse. We’ve tried to fill the gaps with whatever works in the moment… but it never really lasts. During this summer series at Mission, we will explore together how the world, our flesh, and the enemy offer distorted, fake versions of what only God can truly produce. From love and joy to peace and self-control, we’ll uncover the difference between what looks good and what actually gives life. We will discover together how to move from imitation to transformation.

Invite your people and don’t miss a week of this helpful series!

What are you reaching for when life gets hard? Scrolling, shopping, achieving, or something deeper?

We’re kicking off our new summer series COUNTERFEIT, and we’re starting with the difference between happiness and joy. Happiness depends on circumstances you can’t control—one phone call, one diagnosis, one betrayal can steal it away. But joy? Joy is that settled confidence that God is good and present and enough, regardless of what’s happening around you.

Solomon tried everything to find happiness—money, power, pleasure, success. He called it all meaningless, like chasing the wind. But Jesus offers something better: “My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete” (John 15:11). That’s joy from the inside out that no one can steal.

Stop settling for the counterfeit. Join us this summer as we discover what God really wants to produce in your life.

What if the 100,000 hours you’ll spend working in your lifetime actually mattered to God? Because they do.

From the very first page of Scripture, we see a God who works and loves His work. He created us in His image to join Him in making something great of this world. You don’t “just” do anything - you serve people in unique ways that matter. The barista serving the exhausted single mom. The accountant keeping things afloat with integrity. The teacher being a safe presence for kids. It’s all sacred when we invite God into it.

Jesus reminds us: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23). Your work isn’t separate from your faith - it’s an opportunity to reflect God’s character and serve others the way Jesus would.

What if you reframed your work this week with this vision: “I serve people by...”

From the very beginning, women were never an afterthought in God’s story. You were created as an “ezer” - a strong, essential presence without which humanity would be incomplete. The same word used to describe God Himself when Israel cried out for help.

The enemy’s oldest lie? “Did God really say you are enough?” But Jesus came to restore what was broken in Eden. He looked at women and said, “I do not condemn you,” “Have courage,” “Your faith is great,” “Go and tell.” You are not too much. You are not not enough. You are essential.

Today, reject the competing voices of culture that leave you exhausted and confused. Trust God with your life. Be brave enough to show up fully as who He created you to be. You are daughters of God, created in His image, deeply loved, and absolutely essential to His story.

Women, hear Him say over you today: You are VERY GOOD.

What an honor it was to celebrate Child Dedications this Sunday! Parents are the primary leaders of their kids’ faith, and we loved standing alongside them as they commit to leading their kids to know and follow Jesus.

Together, we get to build a community where every kid can experience the love, truth, and hope of Jesus.

What if parenting isn’t about raising perfect kids, but about stewarding souls?

This week we explored a game-changing truth: parenting reveals what’s inside US more than it shapes what’s in them. God isn’t asking us to be perfect parents—He’s inviting us to be present ones. Psalm 139 reminds us our kids are “fearfully and wonderfully made” by God Himself. We’re not forming blank slates; we’re stewarding image bearers of the Most High.

The shifts that matter most? Moving from ownership to stewardship. From behavior modification to heart transformation. From control to influence. Because you can raise a well-behaved kid who doesn’t know God at all—or worse, thinks God is all about outside-in performance.

Your challenge this week: Have one moment of real presence. One meaningful conversation. One shift from controlling to connecting. Your kids don’t need your perfection—they need your presence.

What if manhood isn’t about proving yourself, but about knowing whose you are? This week we explored how biblical manhood rejects passivity, refuses domination, and stops performing for approval. Real strength isn’t found in emotional shutdown or control—it’s found in surrender to Christ.

Men, you’re not defined by your failures, your income, or what you’ve been trying to prove. In Christ, you are a son—fully secure, deeply loved, and called to reflect Jesus. That’s the kind of man our homes, churches, and world desperately need.

From that place of security, God forms us into men who are present, humble, strong, and safe. Not try harder—but receive His voice again.
