Dear Mercy Fellowship Family,
I am filled with joy as I share some exciting news about the next chapter in the life of our church.
After much prayer, conversation, and discernment, our Church Relocation Team has unanimously agreed that Mercy Fellowship of Venice will be permanently joining with The Church at Wellen Park, beginning Sunday, February 1 at 10:00 AM, located at 11611 Mezzo Dr., North Port, FL. We will be joining Pastor Matt McKenzie and the church family there as God brings our congregations together.
Simply put, we know this is where God is already working—and we want to join Him there.
We had our Relocation Team update today, and I wish you could have been in the room if you were not. The energy was unmistakable. There was clarity, unity, and a sense of divine anticipation about what God is doing and what He will do as we step forward together. This decision was thoughtful, prayerful, and marked by a deep sense of peace.
Next Sunday will be our final Sunday gathering as Mercy Fellowship of Venice, and we want to celebrate the way families do—around the kitchen table. We will share a meal, and each church member is invited to bring their favorite crock-pot dish as we give thanks for what God has done and look ahead with great hope. Toward the end of our time together Pastor Matt will be joining us.
I encourage you to begin getting familiar with The Church at Wellen Park by visiting https://churchatwellenpark.com or by searching Facebook for “The Church at Wellen Park.”
God has been incredibly merciful to Mercy Fellowship, and now He is inviting us into something bigger than ourselves. I truly believe the best days of ministry and impact are still ahead.
Thank you for your faithfulness, your prayers, and your willingness to follow where God leads. I cannot wait to worship, serve, and grow together as we make this step of faith.
This morning during my sermon I closed with a prayer that Devyn and I have for each of you. Whether you have been with us since April 2019 or if today was your first Sunday, we pray this over your life.
"May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May He strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all His holy ones.” -I Thessalonians 3:12-13
Your Friend,
Pastor Chris
