Nine Months with Christ in the Womb

On Saturday, September 5th, young adults from different parishes gathered at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Naples for Surrender, a retreat organized by the St. John Paul II Young Adult Group. It was a day filled with prayer, formation, Mass, and reconciliation, accompanied by four Capuchin Franciscan friars. Our heartfelt thanks to Fr. David A. Portorreal, Fr. Wilian Montalvo Tello, and the entire St. Peter community for their warm hospitality. Special gratitude as well to the St. John Paul II Young Adult Group for their outstanding service and dedication. And above all, thanks be to God for the many graces poured out during this beautiful retreat. May the fruits of Surrender continue to grow in every heart.

SAINT OF THE MONTH
September 5, 2026: St. Teresa of Calcutta

Mother Teresa was the founder of the Missionaries of Charity, a religious order devoted to serving the poorest of the poor. She saw Christ in every human person. May her witness remind us of God’s presence among those most in need, especially the preborn, the poor, the sick, and the aged.

St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us!

We give thanks to God for all the blessings we experienced during Totus Tuus 2026!

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the DREs, Youth Leaders, volunteers, and parents who made this beautiful mission possible. A very special thank-you to all the children and young people who participated with such joy, enthusiasm, and openness to growing in their faith. We are also deeply grateful to our 18 missionaries, who spent two months traveling throughout the Diocese of Venice and visiting 20 parishes. Through their love for Jesus, Mary, and the Church, they brought a message of faith, joy, and hope to our communities. Above all, we thank the Lord, who loves us infinitely, always walks beside us, and never stops giving everything for us. Thank you for making Totus Tuus 2026 an unforgettable experience!

Please join us at San Pedro Parish
14380 Tamiami Trail, North Port, in the Chapel on
Thursday, September 10th at 5:15 pm for a Prayer Vigil to
pray for the end of the death penalty in Florida.
We pray for everyone involved in the ex*****on process; the doctor administering the ex*****on, all of the witnesses, a conversion of the condemned, the victims and their families.
The vigil will coincide with the scheduled ex*****on of
Daniel Owen Conahan, Jr., who is set to become the 15th person executed in Florida this year. The vigil lasts less than an hour and includes hymns, a Gospel reading, reflections, intercessions, and a praying of the Rosary.
A pause will take place at 6 p.m., the time Florida ex*****ons take place.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Conversion of Mary Magdalene (Paolo Veronese)
Represents repentance, forgiveness, and a return to God.
A beautiful image of a sinner responding to Christ's call.
True conversion is more than a change of heart. It is the decision to follow Christ each day through prayer, sacrifice, and faithful witness. Like St. Mary Magdalene, may we respond to His mercy by putting our faith into action.
