Join us in creating a spiritual bouquet for St. Joseph this Father’s Day. Share your prayer intentions in the comments, and we will entrust them to his loving intercession. You can also take part from home with these simple ways: usccb.org/joseph-spiritual-bouquet.

As we celebrate the gift of fathers and honor St. Joseph, we also recognize that Father’s Day can be a difficult holiday for many. We hope this spiritual bouquet provides an opportunity to pray for the intentions brought to your heart by the occasion.

Our missionaries continued their journey to new parishes, bringing the joy and enthusiasm that are characteristic of Totus Tuus.

During Week 3, our teams served at Ave Maria Parish, St. Paul Parish, and Epiphany Cathedral, sharing the Gospel through prayer, catechesis, games, music, skits, and fellowship.

It was a week filled with faith, laughter, new friendships, and countless opportunities for children and youth to grow closer to Christ. We are grateful to these parish communities for their hospitality and support as we continue this summer mission.
Enjoy some highlights from another amazing week of Totus Tuus!

June 14—Week 12 | Jesus just put his thumb in his mouth for the first time today. Though he is not yet strong enough to suck on it, he soon will be. Jesus of the womb, Hear our prayers!

From May 31 through June 5, our 18 Totus Tuus missionaries brought the joy of the Gospel to two parishes in our Diocese: St. Finbarr Parish and St. Francis Cabrini Parish.

Filled with a passion for serving the Lord and His Church, these young missionaries spent the week sharing their faith with children, youth, and families through catechesis, prayer, the sacraments, games, and personal witness.

We are grateful to both parish communities for their warm hospitality and to each missionary for generously answering God’s call to evangelize. It is inspiring to see so many young people living their faith with joy, enthusiasm, and a missionary spirit!

"As we reflect with gratitude on the blessings God has bestowed on our country, our devotion to the Sacred Heart demands that we consider how we might foster truth, justice, and charity in American life. We are called to bring our faith into the actions we take and the lives we lead in our communities. We celebrate the ways the Church has contributed to a more just world, and we invite all in our society to see the face of Christ reflected in each sister and brother."

The Sacred Heart of Jesus offers a final promise filled with hope and mercy for those who remain faithful to Him.

Today we reflect on the twelfth promise revealed to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque by Jesus Christ:

12. “I promise you in the excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in My disgrace, nor without receiving the sacraments. My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.”

In His great mercy, Christ assures us of His faithful presence, especially at the hour of death, offering grace and perseverance to those who remain close to His Heart.

As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, may we entrust our lives completely to Him, confident in His mercy and everlasting love.

Today, June 12, 2026, the Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, observed on the Friday following the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, reminding us that in the Eucharist we encounter the very Heart of Jesus Christ.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus spread rapidly after the 12 Promises that Christ himself made to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque became known in the Church and throughout the world. Through a series of apparitions, Christ revealed his burning love for humanity and desire for souls to turn to His Heart with trust and devotion.

As we reflect on the unwavering love of Jesus Christ, we are invited near to His Sacred Heart, the source of infinite mercy, grace, and light.
