Now, when someone is pruned, when a garden, a vineyard is pruned, it's cut way down, it's really trimmed way back, but then it grows back bountifully. And it's also so good, that God is the gardener. God does the pruning. God allows His graces to work in us when we have difficulties and challenges in life. This is how He helps prune us. This is how He helps bring us closer to Him.

Albert Howes talks about our connection to God. Our true self is who we are in God, and who God is in us. It is the self that is connected with being. Some would use the word saved to describe this state. Jesus would think of the grain of wheat which has died to its small boundaries to become a large self. Jesus always insists on forgiveness. Unforgiveness is poison. Unforgiving people Are like the carriers of a deadly disease, who will experience fear, depression, frustration, anxiety, self-hatred, loneliness, and more.

Many times, we look at the miracles in the Bible and say that was then and this is now. Jesus calms the winds and the waves. Does he do it today? Geralyn says emphatically yes. Hurricane seasons in Florida can be small and rise enormously. Divine Mercy plays a miraculous role in this beautiful increase of faith.

No wonder why Jesus emphasized that we should forgive 70 time 70. One priest just after he was ordained, believed that over 50% of all problems were at least in part, due to unforgiveness. After 10 years in ministry, He changed that. He estimated that 75-80% of all health, marital, family, and financial problems came from unforgiveness. Later after more years He believes that 90% of all problems are rooted in unforgiveness.
