Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Happy New Year, and may you have a truly blessed Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord.
As we enter the New Year, we can pause to look back with gratitude and look ahead with hope. In this way too, the turning of the year invites us once again to place our trust in God.
This is why the Word of God calls us to seek the Lord’s blessing as we begin this new chapter, drawing inspiration from the Book of Numbers, Chapter 6: "May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord let His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace."
As a parish family, we know that the work of salvation and the proclamation of the Gospel continue. We share too, in the joyful expectation of the completion of the Cathedral renovation, echoing our desire to grow as a parish.
Each of us is called to serve as the Heart and Hands of Christ, attentive to one another and faithful in service. As we move forward in the New Year, may we commit ourselves to prayer, the sacraments, and care for our young people, who contribute greatly to the life of our community today.
May this New Year be a time of grace and peace for us all. May the Lord bless our parish, guide our ministries and grant us joy as we continue to serve together as the Heart and Hands of Christ. Amen.
