Scripture Focus: Jeremiah 1:4-8; Jeremiah 31:31-34; John 15:16

📖 Weekly Devotional Focus

This morning, we walked back 2,600 years to find a young man named Jeremiah standing at the crossroads of adulthood. At just 18 years old, his world was fracturing. His hometown of Anathoth was torn apart by pagan compromise, political corruption, and spiritual unfaithfulness. Yet, it was precisely into this chaotic, hostile reality that God called him, promising: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you... Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you."

Our world today presents the very same fractures, temptations, and distractions. Whether you are a high school senior stepping out of the shelter of home, or a lifelong believer navigating the daily pressures of a secular culture, the temptation to fade into the anonymity of a buried faith is real. But our endurance does not rely on our own strength. Jeremiah remained faithful because God was faithful to him. Today, we cling to the objective promises planted in our Baptism, nourished at the Lord’s Table, and sealed in the blood of Jesus Christ—our Righteous Branch.
