Some of you have asked for our itinerary while in Israel. Here it is:
January 11 - Leave USA for Israel
January 12 - Arrive in Tel Aviv, travel to Tiberias, Israel
January 13 - Sea of Galilee boat ride; Capernaum; Mt. of Beatitudes; Tabgha; Chapel of the Primacy; Jorden River Baptism
January 14 - Cana; Nazareth; Megiddo; Caesarea; Jerusalem (will stay in Jerusalem hotel for remainder of trip)
January 15 - Qumran, Jericho, Mt. of Olives
January 16 - Bethlehem Shepherds Fields; view Herodion; Garden of Gethsemane; Mt. Zion; House of Caiaphas; Upper Room
January 17 - Western Wall; Teaching Steps; Cardo; Pool of Bethesda; Church of St. Anne; Antonia Fortress; Via Dolorsa; Church of the holy Sepulchre
January 18 - FREE DAY
January 19 - Ein Karem; Yad Vashem; Garden tomb; begin return flight to USA
January 20 - Arrive home.

Vega and Adrian United Methodist Churches will NOT hold services this morning.

Just in case you have not looked outside this morning, it is very cold, windy, and snowing! There is no reason to ask folks to go out into this mess, even for church! Take some time to worship in your own way this blustery morning, and we will try to get together again next week. Stay inside, stay warm and stay safe. Also, please check in with your neighbors periodically throughout the day today. Let us keep each other in mind and in prayer.

Attention Vega and Adrian UMC attendees: Due to the hazardous driving conditions in Oldham County, services AND Hanging of the Greens are cancelled for Sunday, November 29th. Be safe and we will see you next week!

Know how some folks say, "I'm too old to be doing so much for the church. Let the younger folks take over."? In all humility and sincerity, let me remind those people that Jesus, although he died at a young age, was engaged in his ministry of spreading the gospel, teaching, healing, forgiving, and praising his Father in Heaven until his last breath. What an example for all of us!

Wow! What a way to honor your father! May you find this Father's Day an inspiration!

Tommy Mitchell had a rough childhood with both of his parents battling alcoholism and his mom leaving them at such a young age. But his dad overcame his drug and alcohol addiction and became a wonderful dad to Tommy. To show his appreciation, Tommy dedicated his performance to his Dad.
