Sunday Recap • Dependence
As we move into this next season as a church, we have a vision, we have plans, and we have things we believe God is calling us to do.
But none of it matters if we try to do it without God.
In Exodus 33, Moses was told that Israel could still enter the Promised Land, but God’s presence would not go with them as He had before. Moses responded, “If You don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place.”
Moses understood what we can easily forget: the destination is not more important than the One leading us there.
We need God’s presence.
We need to know who God is. And we cannot accomplish God’s work without God.
Jesus said it this way in John 15:5
“Apart from me you can do nothing.”
As individuals and as a church, our prayer has to be simple:
God, we don’t want to go anywhere without You.
