Well BJBC members, my final Sunday as your Interim is upon us. I ask your prayers as I close out my ministry among you with a dramatic monologue about the life and ministry of the Apostle John. I entitle it “Reflections from Patmos.”

Regarding my time with you all, it’s been wonderful. You have loved Terri and me so fully. We will never forget! Ever!! If I get emotional tomorrow, you will understand. I will try not to, but when I think of you, my heart is full of love for the loving church you are. Our time together presented many challenges due to Covid-19. Yet, God is faithful and we are still standing tall as His Church and as a lighthouse in our community. I want to close with a farewell greeting in Hebrew: “lehitraot” meaning “See you again.” It is not final as “Good-bye” and it carries with it a promise of return. You folks are too dear to us for us to not want to visit with you in a short while.

I am asking the Lord for another interim because preaching and teaching His Word is His call on my life. Pray with me me about that possibilty please. Also, we face a tough semester at MC, as do all schools, trying to teach under strict COVID Protocols. Your daily prayers would be appreciated.

To Drake and Catherine, you are not going to believe how much you are already loved. Terri and I pray for y’all to have a long and fruitful ministry among some of God’s choicest servants.
