Question:

Friends, I want to ask, related to today's Gospel reading, during the transfiguration event:

1. Why did the Apostle Peter know or recognize two other figures, Elijah and Moses?
2. Why are the figures of Elijah and Moses in the transfiguration event? Why not, for example: Abraham and David?

Answer:

Why were Elijah and Moses present in the Transfiguration of Jesus?

In fact, the meaning is very clear, but it is rare for our priests to highlight it in their sermons.

In fact, this confirms the true Catholic faith, that the Book of Maccabees is truly in line with the NT.

Firstly, Jesus represents God, Peter represents people on earth, Elijah represents those who were taken alive to Heaven and Moses represents those who died and were buried.

So, the false narratives are a hoax according to the Bible, that Mary is still in the tomb, why pray with the saints because they are all still in the tomb, etc.

Watch this:

When they came down from the mountain, Jesus told them, they should not tell anyone* what they had seen, the Son of Man rose from the dead.* (Mrk 9:9)

is risen, proclaim the living Saints!!!

Bonus:

But others said: "No, let's see, Elijah comes to save Him." Jesus cried out with a loud voice and gave up His life. And behold, the veil of the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom and there was an earthquake, and the rocks were split open, and the were opened and many of the saints who had fallen asleep rose up. And after Jesus' resurrection, they came out of the graves, entered the holy city and appeared to many people. The centurion and his soldiers who were guarding Jesus were greatly afraid when they saw the earthquake and what had happened, and said, “Truly this was the Son of God.” (KJV Matt 27:49-54)

This is the Catholic faith, this is the faith of Peter, this is the living Rock!!!
