As I enjoy the quietness of our community, and today being Sunday two thoughts come to my mind.

God intends for us to take time to rest. When the Pharisees questioned Jesus about his disciples breaking the sabbath, by picking food and eating on sabbath. (Mark 2:24-27) Jesus reminded them that it was a day design to give man rest not some arbitrary law designed to rule over man. We have the opportunity to just rest today. I hope you will take this day as a time to rest physically and emotionally.

When we rest physically, it does not mean we rest emotionally. To help us do this I would encourage you to think about Jesus and your relationship with Him. In John 10:4 we are reminded that we will follow Him because we know His voice. Do you recognize the voice of Jesus when He speaks to you? You will learn to recognize the voice of God because He is always in agreement with His Word. Spending time in His Word, is a guaranteed way to hear Him. I encourage you to take time to get in a quiet space of rest and hear from Him. Jesus will guide you, encourage you, and love you. Seek Him today.
