It was a beautiful Easter morning with our church filled with family and friends that came from far and near and some passing by guests that joined us for Easter service. Christ’s resurrection was celebrated with music and smiles, with a baptismal and ended with communion and great fellowship.
Little Rylee Jo, traveled 8 hours with her family to come to her grandfather’s town to be baptized in the same church that her sister, her mother, her grandfather, great-grandparents and many others of her family were baptized before her.
Little Rylee makes the 8th generation of the Miller family to be baptized at the Vanlue Christ Church.
It all started about 200 years ago with Jones R. (Jonas) Miller, one of the founders of this church, followed by Franklin (Frank), J. Lee, Jack, Roger, Jason, Paige and now little Rylee.
The Miller family was a large supporter of our church for many years.
As we celebrated the baptismal of sweet Rylee, we all welcomed her to our church and wished her a life full of joy and love.

May the Lord, mighty God

Jesus’s death and resurrection was for all of us! Our church is decorated for a special event, not only for his death and resurrection but we are having communion and a baptism!

Holy Monday
• Jesus goes into the temple and flips it because they were using God's house wrong

• Jesus teaches in the temple and rebukes the Jewish leaders

• Judas agrees to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver

• Jesus shares the Last Supper with the disciples and washes their feet
Good Friday
• Jesus is crucified, dying for our sins
Holy Saturday

Easter Sunday
- Jesus rises from the tomb

Following the footsteps of a family tradition…..
What a special day it was today in our small church, when young Rylee traveled all the way from Alabama, with her family, to be baptized in our church, just like her brother did when he was young, as well as her mother and her grandfather and many other extended family members. You can feel the joy in her face and how ready and happy she was to be baptized.

“May God bless you, beautiful girl, and fill your family's life with joy and peace".
