BIG ANNOUNCEMENT !

Hello Everyone Happy Thanksgiving !

As you all know, Jermaine has been away on vacation and Retirement working hard on relocating to his new place, we pray all goes well for him. But at this time he asked me to step in as Admin for today and post this "Big Announcement" for him.

So as of November 30, 2016
This Facebook Account will be inactive..... Jermaine will no longer be using any of his online accounts to communicate with his friends, instead he would like all of his friends and family to contact him via.....

Okay lol, now that I've said all that, if i can speak from the heart for just a moment at least from one who knows Jermaine personally....look guys if you don't know, this month, this transition period has taken a lot out of him energy wise, its draining him. So i ask all of you, even those that he calls "family" if you really love him, PLEASE! continue to pray for him, he has the ability to take on so much at once but doesn't stop to rest, he's a hard worker and I love that about him but that's been a huge problem for him right now is resting and letting things go and taking small steps, I love him a lot and we've been through hell together for many years, if he needs anything at all its us backing him up in prayer in the midst of this transition.
Praying God grants him wisdom, direction and favor wherever this next year takes us. For me personally I would appreciate it, if you could do that for him that would make me feel much better....give him a call or something just let him know you love him and that you're here for him.

PS. He doesn't know I'm writing all this so don't say i said anything lol.

What Is Effective Praying?

James 5:16 says, “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”

Its interesting that to think about what Next to the word “effective” in my New American Standard Bible, there’s a reference to Genesis 18:22-33. That Old Testament passage reveals what “effective praying” is by sharing how Abraham questioned God multiple times in an effort to save the people of S***m and Gomorrah. Abraham asked God if He would save the cities if 50 righteous people were found there. When God agrees, Abraham dropped the number to 45. God agrees again, and Abraham respectfully went for 30, then 20, and finally 10 righteous people. God agrees to not destroy S***m and Gomorrah on account of even 10 righteous men. Unfortunately, God must not have found 10 righteous men because He got Lot and his family out and then destroyed S***m and Gomorrah (Genesis 19).

The point of this well-known story of Abraham’s repeated appeals is that effective praying has much to do with not giving up and being willing to go back to God with the same request over and over. To some us, it may seem rude and feel awkward to approach God repeatedly about a matter, but we can take comfort in seeing that God wasn’t offended by Abraham’s recurring request. In fact, He seemed to willingly hear his humble and respectful servant each time Abraham asked.

If a strong urgency about praying for your children has gripped your heart and mind, don’t shrink back from taking your concerns to the Lord and doing it often. And don’t hesitate to keep asking Him for the same thing. The freedom He’s given us to approach Him frequently is what encouraged me to say the same or similar prayers to Him every Wednesday. I often thought of Abraham’s relentlessness and the widow’s persistence [from the New Testament] as I prayed, and they gave me the courage to keep repeating my petitions until they were answered and then continue on with new ones.
