Our vision is to be a family, becoming like Jesus to fulfill His mission. That vision anchors everything that we do. A family…
We think that this word embodies the fulfillment of the rescue mission of Jesus. Jesus came to earth in a human body, rescued us from sin and death through his life, death, resurrection, and ascension. Then, He invited us into His redeemed family, adopted as the Father’s s
ons and daughters. As followers of Jesus we are united in love, spirit, and purpose. We are saved into community. We follow Jesus in community. becoming like Jesus…
As we walk in the way of Jesus, through the Spirit, we become like Jesus. We use two words to describe how we learn to increasingly change into the likeness of Jesus: Challenge and Encourage. It’s hard to put aside our broken ways of living and become permeated by the character of Jesus. We need a community that knows us to bring loving challenge, telling the truth, even when it’s hard to hear. But we also need to be encouraged at the same time. We need someone to walk with us and support our way forward. Challenge without encouragement leads to a culture of fear and performance-based self-righteousness. Encouragement without challenge leads to something that might feel good in a moment, but doesn’t bring transformation. Our hope is for our people to be transformed by the Spirit of God as they abide in Jesus. to fulfill His mission. From the time that God called a people, His purpose was to bless so that they might be a blessing to others. We know that God himself was so burdened for a broken world that He sent His Son. Then the Son sent us to make more disciples. So we pray for our community and the world. We serve our neighbor. We open our homes. We commit to partnerships locally and around the world. All of this is in the hope that people might come to know, love, and follow Jesus.
