A huge thank you to everyone that came out to our first annual Field Day in Vancouver, WA! Our first post-COVID event was a huge success and we hope everyone that attended had just as much fun as we did!

A special thank you to everyone that helped make this event possible and to for capturing these moments!! We couldn’t have done this without your support! 🤍

Seeing such excitement from our Sangat has motivated us to continue working with our communities in Oregon and SW Washington and we hope to see more of you at our future events!!

SYAO is hosting our first ever field for children and families on July 18 at Harmony Field.

We will have snacks and a wide variety of games and fun for the entire family such as sack races, water balloon fights, tug of war, capture the flag, kotla chapaki, red rover, pithoo, kho kho and more!

The farmers protest was brought to light around the world due to one mainstream media artist speaking up (thank you, ) which followed into a domino effect. Take a moment to breath and recharge.

The fight for justice continues on as our people are still protesting while the Indian government shows it’s true colors. Using your voice to help spread the word DOES work so don’t stop now. Continue to tag political leaders, news channels, humanitarian workers and signing petitions.

The Indian government continues to align itself with corporate agendas while undermining the pain and suffering of its minorities.
As of November 2020, thousands of farmers have set up their dwellings on Delhi’s borders in protest against the new Farm Bills that threaten their livelihood along with the future of their next generations.
With each passing day, protesters are losing their lives against the fight for their only source of income. As the death toll crosses 150, we are again reminded that the Indian government is yet to take action in favor of protestors and show their support.
We would like to thank Jakara Movement, Ekta Together, and Creativemannco for collaborating with our team for this initiative to voice the emotions of Sikh youth along the West Coast! A special thanks to Poetic Justice Foundation for creating the campaign and letting us contribute to the cause!

As we welcome 2021 and pray for a better future not just four loved ones, but for our kaum back home fighting for their rights, let’s use this as an opportunity to do Seva in local communities here in Oregon.

SYAO will be holding a food drive for the next few weeks at FIVE gurdwaras throughout Oregon and SW Washington!

1. This petition will potentially be taken to the United States White House. It does need atleast 100,000 signatures to get considered. Please sign and share with your friends and family to get the word spread out about this petition. The link is available in our bio and signers will have to verify their signature by confirming the link sent to their email after signing.

2. has setup an amazing tool for us to be able to get into contact with our local legislators and public officials. Simply text “PKGYOP” to 50409 or if you’re an ally, please text “PZRRDM” to 50409 to personalize your letter before it is sent to our leaders.

3. Reach out to mainstream media! Tag them in your posts and captions ( ) and use tags like these to get the word out!

4. Follow these reliable news sources to get accurate information of what is happening in Delhi as it happens!

Thank you to the Oregon and Washington Sangat, who showed up in such great numbers! Our work is not finished here though, our kisaan are still fighting for their livelihoods in Delhi and we must continue fighting on the other side of the world. Please keep educating yourself on the issue, creating awareness on social media, reaching out to your leaders and mainstream media. This issue is getting neglected by media and we need to bring it to light!
