A song for Kayden
KAYDEN'S LEGACY
There was a young man with a smile so bright,
He could turn the darkest day into light.
A servant's heart, a helping hand,
The kind of soul who'd always stand.
On the football field beneath Friday lights,
On the track he'd give his all in every fight.
He lived with honor, faith, and grace,
Leaving hope in every place.
So fly high, Kayden, where the angels sing,
Heaven has welcomed home a faithful son.
Though our hearts are broken and the tears still fall,
Your love and laughter echo through us all.
We'll remember your courage, your kindness, your smile,
The way you made every moment worthwhile.
Though your time here was far too brief,
Your legacy will never leave.
He loved the woods at the break of dawn,
A fishing line beneath the morning sun.
Burnt orange dreams on Saturdays,
Cheering for the Longhorns all the way.
He loved his family with all his heart,
His faith in Jesus set him apart.
He dreamed of serving on the open sea,
Protecting others faithfully.
To your loving family we lift our prayers,
May God surround you with His loving care.
A Vandal always, forever you'll be,
A shining light for all to see.
So fly high, Kayden, your race is won,
Safe forever in the Father's arms.
We'll carry your spirit in all we do,
Living with the strength we saw in you.
Until the day we meet again,
Where sorrow ends and joy begins,
Your story lives in every heart you've known.
Fly high, Kayden... you're finally home.
A smile remembered.
A life well lived.
A faith that pointed others to Jesus.
Once a Vandal, always a Vandal.
Forever loved. Forever missed.
