Church Project is a “Church of House Churches” that began in 2010 with a mission to RETHINK church and RETURN to the essence of leading, gathering and living the way Christ and the early chur
ch intended. We are an organism, not an organization. We are DECENTRALIZED, and DISTRIBUTE leadership into DIVERSE discipleship communities of Christ followers. Our intent is to be unashamedly BIBLICAL, irreducibly SIMPLE, understandably RELEVANT to all, and radically GENEROUS. We believe that Christ changes lives, and that His church can be the most powerful influence of love and change on the planet. We want to change the way people see Christ, Christians, and the Church. We are on a continual pursuit of becoming who God originally intended us & His church to be. We pursue the biblical, simple, powerful early church expression of church. The early church gathered weekly by the thousands in a very simple way to study the Scriptures, pray, and give, so we do similar Sunday Gatherings. The early church gathered by the dozens in House Churches overseen by distributed leadership to live in a diverse discipleship community, so we gather similarly in House Churches. The early church gave their lives and money to do ministry, so we serve and give locally and globally through Ministry Partnerships and church planting. If you're SEARCHING to know who Christ is, and wanting to search in an authentic community who seek to live in love and truth, this may be the church for you. If you’re hoping to find a church that is BIBLICAL, seeks to study and expose the full truths of Scripture, this may be the church for you. If you’re interested in a church that is SIMPLE, not trying to impress or entertain anyone with buildings, budgets, or programming, Church Project may be the church for you. If you’re looking for a church that is RELEVANT, understands and relates to a community that is without God in their lives, this may be the church for you. If you’re looking for a church that is unusually GENEROUS, we live with “Simplicity for the Sake of Generosity” to generously support ministries and church planting.
