This Christmas season, the Brandon Florida Stake will be hosting a Christmas devotional on Sunday, December 21st at six o’clock in the evening. We look forward to seeing you, your loved ones and any guests you may feel impressed to invite, as you join us at the Stake Center to praise the birth of our Lord and Savior through music and the spoken word.

A multi-Stake Youth Dance is being hosted by the Tampa Stake next weekend! Those turning fourteen and up are invited to the Tampa Stake Center on Saturday, June 7th, from 7-10pm. See you there, prepared to glow!

Last week, eighty young women from the Brandon Florida Stake, along with 22 adult leaders, participated in a 48 hour overnight camp in Lithia, Florida. The theme and focus of their gathering was to “Seek Him” and follow the directive of Deuteronomy 4:29, that “if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.” Additional goals of the gathering were to strengthen faith, learn how to ask questions and anticipate answers, as well as improving the relational bonds between the young women. Camp activities included, but were not limited to: devotionals, ministering through Little Sister-Big Sister assignments, learning First Aid skills, fire building, emergency cooking, embroidery, emotional resilience, hiking, and personal scripture study. Visiting messengers included our local Sister Missionaries, Stake President Hunter and Sister Hunter, as well as our Bishops and their wives.

Calling all Brandon Florida Stake Young Women, born 2006-2009 and attending camp, are invited to attend our final preparation meeting! It will take place this Sunday, February 16th, at 6pm in the Stake Relief Society room. Zoom is also an option for those unable to make it in person; see your Young Women’s President for the Zoom link. We are eager for you to come participate and learn how you will be contributing to camp! Ward Leadership, those attending camp or those interested in being able to communicate what will be taking place, are also invited!
