Wendy’s - Biography
My name is Wendy Stockhausen. I live in Summerville, South Carolina with my husband Neal. We have three children and eight grandchildren. I have worked as a legal secretary and then a paralegal for the past 30+ years.
I was born and raised in Littleton, New Hampshire. I have known of Jesus since I was eight years old, but did not completely surrender my life to him until I was in my twenties. I studied at the Holy Spirit Bible College in Ladson, South Carolina from 1999 through 2001. I was called into the ministry in 2008, serving as a minister and worship leader and became an associate pastor for Gateway Community Church in Moncks Corner, South Carolina in early 2018.
My husband Neal served in several mission trips to Jamaica and was called to be a Deacon in 2012 and he is now Senior Deacon at Gateway Community Church. I am blessed that all my children live lives of obedience and service to the Lord and are raising their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
My earthly dad went home to be with the Lord in 2015 and my mother followed in 2018. I look after my stepdad who lives in Kansas and I go home and minister the Word of God to people from my home state as often as the Lord allows. My husband’s family owns a cabin in North Carolina and Neal and I go there when we can to spend time with the Lord and with each other.
I have known Sister Teresa since I was about 12 years old. We lost touch for many years and reconnected around 2008 and kept in touch infrequently until several months ago when the Lord reconnected us in the ministry.
My passion is to try and draw others to Jesus if they do not know him and to encourage them to draw closer to Him if they do know him. I try to set by example how we can live and show Christ in our everyday lives.
