What a powerful Sunday at New Hope!

Pastor Jay preached a powerful message, “Where’s My Peace?” reminding us that the storms around us don’t have to steal the peace within us when Jesus is our foundation.

BE THE CHURCH. ❤️🙏

Today, we didn’t just talk about serving—we went out and served.

Following today’s service, Pastor preached a message entitled “Serving in the Crisis,” reminding us that the Church is called to step up, show up, and meet needs when our communities are hurting.

Immediately after service, a group from New Hope loaded up five carloads of food and resources and headed to the Lake Station Fire Department to help support their community.

Together, we delivered cookies, cereal, granola bars, crackers, and other food resources to help families and individuals still recovering from the recent storms.

This is what it means to BE THE CHURCH—taking what God has placed in our hands and using it to bless someone else.

We’re grateful for every person who donated, packed, loaded, drove, and served. The need continues, and so will our mission.

We are a small church with a big mission—and we’re committed to serving our community one need at a time.

Church family, we will not have Bible Study tonight. We only had one chapter left in our study of Daniel—Daniel 12. I encourage you to spend some time this week reading and studying it for yourself.

There is a huge community giveaway tonight at Haven Hollow Park in South Haven from 4–6 PM. I’ll be there working and helping serve our community.

WE MAY NOT HAVE ELECTRICITY, BUT WE STILL HAVE POWER!

Yesterday, we were so thankful to have power and the opportunity to open our doors and serve our community. Unfortunately, we lost power again later in the day.

But here’s the good news: WE ARE STILL HAVING CHURCH TODAY!

It may look a little different. We may not have all the lights, comforts, or things we’re used to—but we can still gather, worship, pray, encourage one another, and experience the power of the Holy Spirit!

Sometimes the Church shines brightest when the lights go out.

Come as you are. Come ready to worship. Come ready to be encouraged.

Hey, Church Family!

We had a wonderful day today serving our community, and we’re so thankful for everyone who came out, helped, and allowed us to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Unfortunately, we have LOST POWER again at the church.

However, we are STILL HAVING CHURCH!

Power or no power, we’re going to gather together, worship, pray, and encourage one another.

Due to the power outage, however, we will NOT be having the luncheon following service.

Service begins at 11:00 AM.

Come as you are. It may look a little different, but after the week our community has experienced, there’s no better time to gather together and remind ourselves that even when the power goes out, the Church still has power!

We hope to see you tomorrow at 11!

📣 Hey, South Haven community… WE finally have power, and we’re ready to serve! ❤️

New Hope Church Of God will be open tomorrow, Saturday, August 15, from 9 AM–5 PM as a Charging & Cooling Center for our community.

🔌 Come charge your phones and devices.
❄️ Get out of the heat and cool off.
💧 Bottled water will be available.

🥪 Starting at 12:30 PM, we’ll also be giving away FREE sandwiches while supplies last! Choose from peanut butter & jelly, turkey & cheese, or ham & cheese.

After everything our community has been through these past several days, we simply want to open our doors and be a place where our neighbors can rest, recharge, cool down, and grab something to eat.

Everyone is welcome!
