Blessings to all this week! Join us for worship this Sunday, 6/7 at 9:00 a.m. in person or on Facebook.

Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Matthew 6:24

The Master Who Serves You – It’s been said that money is a good servant, but a poor master. That’s because the love and pursuit of money cause us to turn away from God and the needs of our neighbor. Money can’t love you. Instead, it only controls you and causes you to worry. Jesus said, “No servant can serve two masters. You cannot serve God and money.” So why not serve the God who loves you? In fact, God is the Master who serves you. God provides for all your temporal needs, and He gave His only Son to provide for all your eternal needs. Instead of worrying about money, trust God and seek His kingdom, and He will add these other things to you as well.

Join us this Sunday, 5/31 at 9:00 a.m. in person or on Facebook as we celebrate Holy Trinity Sunday.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light.”
Genesis 1:1-3

Order, Chaos, and Reorder – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God the Father spoke His Word who is His Son and created all things through Him while the Holy Spirit gave life to all things. God created the world in perfect order with a perfect relationship with man. However, the devil brought chaos, sin, and death into the world, separating man from God. But God restored order by sending His Son Jesus Christ to reconcile us to God. The Holy Spirit creates a new spirit in us by the water of Baptism and the Word of God. On the Last Day, God will reorder His creation, separating the devil and unbelievers for condemnation, and gathering His Church to the new heaven and earth.

Moses said, “Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!” Numbers 11:29

United by the Holy Spirit – How did Moses manage the masses who were divided, dissatisfied, and despairing in the wilderness? The LORD took some of His Spirit who was on Moses and placed it on 70 of the elders who helped carry the burden and unite God’s people. How did Jesus manage the masses who are divided, dissatisfied, and despairing on this earth? After Jesus ascended into heaven, He poured out the Holy Spirit who united God’s people to prophesy the Gospel to all the world. “Would that all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!”

Blessings to all this week! Join us for worship in person or on Facebook this Sunday, May 17.

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s suffering, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12-13

Suffering for Being Christian – Why do we suffer in this world? Sometimes we suffer simply because we live in a sinful and fallen world, which causes emotional and bodily pain. Sometimes we suffer because of our sin, which brings consequences or God’s discipline. However, sometimes we suffer for being Christian. The devil hates God’s children and works through this sinful world to persecute us. But Jesus reminds us, “If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.” When we suffer for being a Christian, we do so as part of the body of Christ and rejoice as we share in His suffering. The apostle Paul tells us to take heart. “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
