Reflections from Elinor upon her 8th grade graduation from Immanuel: My years at Immanuel have helped me understand a lot, not just academics, but about friendship and showing love, to focus on the good instead of lingering on the bad. If Immanuel only taught kids how to multiply and divide, or know what verbs and nouns are, things would look a lot different, but Immanuel teaches kids to love, include, and comfort others, and because of the people at this school, I was able to become the person I am today, and I hope others can say the same. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life,” John 3:16.

Big changes are happening behind the scenes at Immanuel!

The former Teachers’ Lounge has officially been cleaned out and is being prepared for its next chapter. This space will include a brand-new Teachers’ Lounge, giving our teachers and aides a comfortable space to work, collaborate, prepare materials, and take a well-deserved break.

It’s amazing to see these plans becoming reality one step at a time. Stay tuned as construction continues and new spaces begin to take shape!

Reflections from Chloe upon her 8th grade graduation form Immanuel: We are all brothers and sisters in Christ, which is shown in the way we act, the things we say, and how we choose to portray ourselves and the Trinity. “And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother’” (Matthew 12:49-50). We are a family, and we are siblings. We fight like siblings, joke like siblings, and laugh together like siblings.

Exciting things are happening inside our existing classrooms!

The construction crew is hard at work removing the old heating and air conditioning units as part of our building improvements. While it may not be the most glamorous part of the project, this upgrade is something our teachers have been eagerly anticipating for years.

Comfortable classrooms make a big difference for both teaching and learning, and we know our staff is celebrating every unit that comes out. New additions are taking shape outside, but important improvements are happening inside as well.

Teachers everywhere are saying the same thing: “Yay!”

Phase 2 is officially taking shape at Immanuel!

Tomorrow, crews are pouring the footings for our new school and preschool addition—a major milestone in this exciting project.

“Hand this to a teacher who…”

Our 8th graders took part in one of the latest viral trends, but they made it something truly special. Each student read a note and handed it to the teacher who fit the description best — from funniest teacher, to best vibes, to the one who always pushes them to do their best.

There were lots of laughs, a few emotional moments, and so much love shared between students and teachers. Watching these relationships shine is what makes Immanuel such a special place.

The resource room looks a little emptier today as Mrs. Cunningham and Mrs. Bremer officially moved out their things and closed an incredible chapter at Immanuel.

Retirement is here, and while we are so excited for them, it is hard to imagine these halls without their care, dedication, patience, and love for students over the years. They have made a lasting impact on countless children and families, and their fingerprints will forever remain part of Immanuel.

Thank you, Mrs. Cunningham and Mrs. Bremer, for the many years you poured into our students and school family. You will be deeply missed, but we pray this next season is filled with joy, rest, and many blessings.

Congratulations on your official retirement!
