The official page for the Non-profit puppet show The True Story of Christmas which was started in 1977 it tells the true story of Christmas (and Christ) in a fun and simple way kids can understand (and we have candy canes!) The children of Valley Springs elementary are presented with the nativity story and are given a candy cane and tract at the end of the show, it lasts about 15 minutes all toget
her. Usually anywhere from 300-400 children attend but unfortunately last year we were unable to put our permission slips in the children's go-home folders. Only 60 children were able to attend (we passed out the flyers in front of Mar-Val) but it's not how many attend its about getting the story out there, even if only 1 child is able to hear it it has all been worth it. This year we are still unable to pass out permission slips directly to the children but we will still be having it! And this year we are adding a special Evening show for families to attend with their children (families and children that are home schooled or attend other schools are WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED to attend! this is NOT just for the valley springs students!)
