With nearly 6 inches of rainfall in our area overnight, some areas of Pineview Memory Gardens may experience temporary ground settling or sunken spots around recent interments over the coming days.
While we work diligently year-round to maintain and restore all gravesites, excessive rainfall can accelerate the natural settling process that occurs as the earth continues to compact after burial. Unfortunately, the timing of this heavy rainfall comes just before Mother’s Day weekend — one of the busiest and most meaningful visitation times of the year for many of the families we serve. We understand that many will be visiting loved ones this Sunday, and we want you to know that our staff is already actively monitoring the grounds and addressing affected areas as quickly and safely as conditions allow.
This is especially common following unusually heavy rains such as we experienced last night.
Our grounds crew will be actively monitoring the cemetery and addressing any affected areas as conditions allow. We appreciate your patience and understanding as some portions of the grounds may remain soft while we allow them time to dry enough for proper restoration work to be completed safely and effectively.
As always, it is our commitment to maintain Pineview Memory Gardens with the care, respect, and dignity that the families we serve deserve.
