Revival Center (formerly known as Vallejo Revival Center) began on Mother’s Day in 1980, outside the umbrella of any denomination. With just 8 original members, Revival Center began to grow and thrive as the Spirit of the Lord helped to turn the small church into one of the most respected houses of worship in the region. Revival Center has served a particular niche amongst the spiritual community

in this area. A pioneering church with its style and breadth of worship, Revival Center has also become a refuge for folks transitioning between churches, looking for a new place to grow. Some believers who have been injured or displaced spiritually have found this church to be a place of healing and safety. One of the largest truly “non-denominational” churches in this area, Revival Center is a place of refuge and edification for many across denominations lines. Heading into a new season, where Jesus Christ is lifted higher.

“So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
Zechariah 4:6 NIV

Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah, was in charge of rebuilding the second temple after exile and was facing opposition. God’s word to him is a reminder that the obstacles in front of him in this rebuilding task will not be overcome by conventional resources of might or power. Instead, the resources will come from an outpouring of Gods spirit. With God’s reassurance, the great mountain of difficulties that stands in the way of rebuilding (whether practical, political, or spiritual) is cut down.

We often get caught up planning things out to the point where we believe we have control, thinking “maybe this will work; maybe not”. The posture we should have is that God is the driver and we are sitting in the back seat while he reveals the life He has already planned for us. You still have work to do, and it won’t be easy. But the Spirit of God will empower you to do what He has purposed for you to do.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: For the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.”
