One God to Worship

Matthew 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The most fundamental reason we should worship God is made very apparent in these two verses: He mandates it! Because it is possible to worship deities other than God, He must instruct us to worship Him. Satan was obviously trying to convince Christ to worship him—a being other than God—and in response, Jesus says, "Him only you shall serve." He forbids us from worshipping anyone else in addition to commanding us to worship Him. Jesus' assertion also demonstrates the close connection between worship and service to God. It's as though they have the same meaning. Worship entails valuing and then acting in service to the One being worshiped.

More Than What Is Expected

Genesis 48:11 And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.

When God answers our prayers and desire, most of the times, He does it more than what we prayed for.

Jacob , when he lost Joseph when he was only 17 years old ( he thought Joseph died), grieved much, and naturally lost all the hope that he would ever see him again. I believe when he died ( Joseph), wished to see him even just his dead body ( to give a decent burial). But God has better plans. Though , done in wicked thoughts against Joseph by his brethren in selling him to the Medians and to Egypt, God will let Jacob see his son’s face, not only his face, but his children as well. He answered his prayer with more than what he expected.

Abraham , his great grandfather though his wife was barren, desired to have children, God granted him not only children, but out of his loins will nations be born. He was blessed with more than what he expected.

Solomon ask only for wisdom in leading God’s people. But God granted him riches, fame, glory, and many other things. He was blessed with more than what he expected.

Job, though tried, and has gone through severe trials of his faith, at the end of his story, God has double and blessed him with more than what he had before his trial began. He was blessed with more than what he expected.

Elisha, as a faithful servant to Elijah, when Elijah left, God granted his prayer, to have a double portion of Elijah’s spirit, and God did it. He had more than of what he expected.

I asked God’s mercy for forgiveness, though I was a very stubborn , rebellious sinner, He did not only forgive me, but has forgotten all that I have ever done. He made the blood of His Son, my redemption. Not only He has saved me, but made me a co-heir of His Son. All that He has, is mine. He is mine, and I am His. He has given me more than what I have expected.
I believe all of His precious children have experienced this and are rejoicing with this great mind blowing truth. We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places , grace after grace and more grace to come.

What can I say more? The greatest blessing is Christ , is more than what we need. He is all our sufficiency, more than what we expected in this world or in the world to come. God be praised forevermore.

Saint of God, if you are praying for something, rest assured, He will give you more than you expected. If He has not spared not His precious Son, shall He not freely give us all things? He will.
O Sinner, do you need salvation from your sins?
Beg and ask God in prayer and He will surely give you more than what you have expected.
