Christy shared an incredible update: Russell has officially quit bleeding! The doctors had previously given him a death sentence, but God had the final word. Praise be to God, you have heard our hearts' cry! Thank you for the miraculous things you have done. All praise and honor to you, O Lord God.

⭐Russell update.
I can finally sit down and make an update here. I hope this makes some kind of sense, because my brain feels like old mashed potatoes right now. The past 4 days have been some of the hardest ever. When we got here Russell was already intubated and completely sedated, he had just come out of his exploratory surgery to find the gut bleed (which they never found). He stayed intubated and completely sedated until this morning. They had been giving him SO MUCH blood, platelets, and plasma until last night, because he was losing so much out of both ends of his body, just straight up red blood. Up until yesterday afternoon they had made it fairly clear to us that this was basically a goodbye mission, that he most likely wouldn't make it, and there was nothing more they could do. UNTIL Dr Sharma (his heart surgeon) came in to talk to me at Russell's bedside. He said they were not going to give him anymore blood thinners, that he didn't really need them because he had put beef and pig valves in his heart instead of metal ones when he did his surgery, and we would try to see if he started naturally clotting and not bleeding anymore. AND THEN..🙌 He miraculously just quit bleeding inside last night. This morning they extubated him (took his ventilator tube out). Woke him up and removed some of his different lines and tubes and he even stood up today. 💪🏆 Nobody can tell me that having family and people who love you and surround you doesn't make a difference. He did a complete turn around since we got here. Please keep praying for Russell Spencer. He wants to live and is fighting for his life. I want to thank Russells cousin Threasa Marie Baugh Spencer for rushing to SLC to be with Russell and be so supportive of our family. Rusty, Dalton, Savannah and her husband, and one of Russells oldest best friends Javier Gutierrez has been here for Russell as well making all the difference. I am so thankful to our oldest son Rusty for being here not only for his Dad, but for his Momma too. I couldn't do any of this without him. And our Bubba Boy for loving his Dad the way he does, and for always making me smile and being my kind gentle giant.
Russell pretty much only wants me to be with him all the time and is absolutely scared to death that I will leave him again. He understands how serious this all is. He kinda woke up a different man today, and most definitely isn't out of the woods yet. So I don't know when I will be able to leave here. I just want to be with him and in close proximity to him. I am worried about the 3 girls missing me, and I miss them. I also know they are being taken good care of right now, and I'm so absolutely grateful for that!
