Coming to a church near you!?

On this 21st Sunday after Pentecost, we pray from the Magnificat, Mary’s praise to God, from Blessing & Beseeching: Prayers on Food and Hunger (1986-87):

My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, who has looked with favor on me, a lowly servant. The Mighty One has done great things for me; holy is the name of the Lord.
God fills the hungry with good things, sending the rich away empty, remembering mercy. The Mighty One has done great things for me; holy is the name of the Lord! Amen

Have you heard about the 205th Homecoming Challenge?

Trinity Lutheran Church has been challenged by Pastor Tommy to raise $20,500 by August 22, 2027 (our 205th homecoming - $100 per year of ministry = $20,500) to pay medical debt in the area.

Why? Medical debt is the #1 cause for bankruptcy in the USA and $1 can eliminate as much as $100 or more of medical debt. We’ll work through a legitimate organization to accomplish this challenge.

For more information search Trinity Moravian Church in Winston-Salem for examples.

While meeting our other financial needs, let’s see how well we can do.

Mark your contributions 205th Challenge.
