Redeemed Living - Valdosta

Redeemed Living - Valdosta Redeemed Living is a Christ Centered Men's Recovery Residence located in Valdosta, GA. By 18 I was a full-blown cocaine addict and alcoholic. etc.)

From Founder, Brent Moore Jr.:

At 12 years old I began experimenting with drugs and alcohol. From 18-21 I lived a life of utter chaos. My life had become completely unmanageable. I began to ruin every relationship I had, started losing everything I was working so hard to keep. Something was missing. I began to notice others who had been on the same road I was on for many years, and I knew that I

did not want to be on that same road 5 years later or worst, dead. On March 20, 2011, I decided to turn my addictions over to God and broke down on a dirt road I promised to God I would not pick up another drink or drug again. Two days later I surrendered my life to Christ and have been living for him since! In a desperate search to find my new identity in Christ I found God, church, and community. The community I found in church and through God is what helped me to maintain my sobriety. Surrounding myself with men who were sober and wanted to see me stay sober was empowering. Strangely I found that serving and giving back empowered me even more. In fall of 2012 two other men who had the same mission as me, to help people find sobriety through Christ, and myself started meeting and decided to start up a ministry called Celebrate Recovery at Crosspoint Church in Valdosta Ga. This is where my passion for addiction ministry began. November of 2015 God gave me a vision to open up redeemed living. In March of 2016 we opened the doors and got our first Client. I am now married and have two beautiful children.….. How The Program Works and Operates

In order to get in Redeemed Living you must have gone through a minimum of 28 days in a inpatient treatment facility and want to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ. Once you meet that criteria we will do an over the phone interview with the client and their counselor to make sure they really need to be in the program as well as want to be in the program. Once we establish they are a good candidate they are accepted and are able to move in. This program is a one-year commitment program. In order to move in you have to pay for three weeks rent up front. During the first couple weeks we help the client find a job as well as we provide transportation to and from work for the first 30 days free of charge. During the first 30 days they are in “Phase 1” during this phase they are not allowed to go on weekend passes and can only leave the house to go to work or groups (church, bible study, A.A. or if they are with another client in a higher phase. After 30 days they are eligible to move up to “Phase 2” if the director and client agree they are ready. In phase two they are allowed to go on passes the 1st and 3rd weekends of the month. After those 30 days they will move into “Phase 3” of the program. This phase will last until the last 30 days of the program. During this phase they will be required to begin working on the deeper steps in the 12-step process as well as begin strategizing what they will do when they graduate the program. Once they have completed all of their work and are ready to move into “Phase 4” they will be allowed to go pass every weekend of the month. This gives them more freedom on the weekends to prepare them for graduation. During this Phase, they will work with the director on their plans after graduation. Rent

A deposit of $750 is required upon move in. This covers your admission fee, first weeks rent, and last weeks rent. After the deposit, rent is $250.00 per week. This $250.00 covers their rent, utilities, transportation to and from groups and church, basic household necessities and groceries for 3 meals per day. The director shops for groceries once a week, and meal plans are laid out through the week.

He made it through detox… but almost didn’t make it through what came next.

At 16, it started small.
By 21, it had taken everything—freedom, stability, identity.

Rehab wasn’t the end of David’s story.
It was the beginning of the hardest part.

Because there’s a gap no one talks about—
the space between treatment and real life… where too many fall back.

They call it the *Forgotten Step*.

And it almost swallowed him whole.

👉 Read his story and see what made the difference:

After nine months in rehab, David Barton knew the real battle was ahead. Between rehab and real life exists a gap—the Forgotten Step—where men often disappear. Redeemed Living's 12-month program gave David the structure, accountability, and brotherhood he needed to not just stay sober, but truly...

They took his shoelaces.
His waistband.
Anything he could use to hurt himself.

That’s where Josh was—standing in a detox in Atlanta… with nothing left.

But this time, something was different.

A moment. A decision.
A call that would change everything.

Six years later?
He’s a Fire Lieutenant. A leader. A man rebuilt.

But his story almost ended in the gap no one talks about—
the space between detox and real life… where so many fall back.

They call it the *Forgotten Step.*

👉 Read Josh’s full story—and see what made the difference:

Josh Knight was standing in a state-run detox in Atlanta when everything changed. After years of addiction and loss, he found lasting recovery through Redeemed Living's faith-based program. Today, six years sober, Josh serves his community as a Fire Lieutenant—proof that restoration is possible.

Seven rehabs. Still no freedom.

Josh Robbins tried everything—but nothing stuck… until he found what was missing.

Not just sobriety.
Not just structure.
But real faith, real accountability, and a place to rebuild life before stepping back into the world.

Today?
He’s a husband. A father. A provider. A completely different man.

This is what happens when someone doesn’t fall through the “forgotten step.”

And right now, there’s another man standing in that same place—wondering if change is even possible.

He was 10 months sober… and still felt lost.

Kyle had tried rehab. More than once.
But nothing stuck—until he took a chance on something different.

Today? He’s 3.5 years sober. Employed. Connected. Alive.

This is what happens when someone doesn’t have to walk the “next step” alone.

There’s another man out there right now in that same place—burned out, uncertain, ready to give up.

👉 Be the reason his story changes. Donate today.

Kyle Mollenhauer was 10 months sober but burned out and uncertain. After battling addiction since age 12 and hitting rock bottom with fentanyl, he took a leap of faith with Redeemed Living. Three and a half years later, Kyle is sober, employed, and part of a brotherhood that lasts.

27 rehabs.

That’s how many times Randy Nichols tried to get sober.

Not once.
Not ten times.
Twenty-seven.

By the time Randy called for help, he knew everything there was to know about recovery. But one sentence from his counselor changed everything:

“You know everything about recovery. You just don’t believe in yourself.”

That’s when Randy surrendered to God—and everything started to change.

If you want to see how redemption unfolded for Randy—and how lives are being restored every day—read the full story below.

Because the Forgotten Step isn’t just about sobriety.
It’s about giving men the chance to rebuild their lives and their families.

Randy Nichols cycled through 27 rehabs before finding lasting recovery at Redeemed Living. His story shows how faith-based support, immediate structure, and accountability can transform lives—not just for those in recovery, but for their families too.
