From Founder, Brent Moore Jr.:
At 12 years old I began experimenting with drugs and alcohol. From 18-21 I lived a life of utter chaos. My life had become completely unmanageable. I began to ruin every relationship I had, started losing everything I was working so hard to keep. Something was missing. I began to notice others who had been on the same road I was on for many years, and I knew that I
did not want to be on that same road 5 years later or worst, dead. On March 20, 2011, I decided to turn my addictions over to God and broke down on a dirt road I promised to God I would not pick up another drink or drug again. Two days later I surrendered my life to Christ and have been living for him since! In a desperate search to find my new identity in Christ I found God, church, and community. The community I found in church and through God is what helped me to maintain my sobriety. Surrounding myself with men who were sober and wanted to see me stay sober was empowering. Strangely I found that serving and giving back empowered me even more. In fall of 2012 two other men who had the same mission as me, to help people find sobriety through Christ, and myself started meeting and decided to start up a ministry called Celebrate Recovery at Crosspoint Church in Valdosta Ga. This is where my passion for addiction ministry began. November of 2015 God gave me a vision to open up redeemed living. In March of 2016 we opened the doors and got our first Client. I am now married and have two beautiful children.….. How The Program Works and Operates
In order to get in Redeemed Living you must have gone through a minimum of 28 days in a inpatient treatment facility and want to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ. Once you meet that criteria we will do an over the phone interview with the client and their counselor to make sure they really need to be in the program as well as want to be in the program. Once we establish they are a good candidate they are accepted and are able to move in. This program is a one-year commitment program. In order to move in you have to pay for three weeks rent up front. During the first couple weeks we help the client find a job as well as we provide transportation to and from work for the first 30 days free of charge. During the first 30 days they are in “Phase 1” during this phase they are not allowed to go on weekend passes and can only leave the house to go to work or groups (church, bible study, A.A. or if they are with another client in a higher phase. After 30 days they are eligible to move up to “Phase 2” if the director and client agree they are ready. In phase two they are allowed to go on passes the 1st and 3rd weekends of the month. After those 30 days they will move into “Phase 3” of the program. This phase will last until the last 30 days of the program. During this phase they will be required to begin working on the deeper steps in the 12-step process as well as begin strategizing what they will do when they graduate the program. Once they have completed all of their work and are ready to move into “Phase 4” they will be allowed to go pass every weekend of the month. This gives them more freedom on the weekends to prepare them for graduation. During this Phase, they will work with the director on their plans after graduation. Rent
A deposit of $750 is required upon move in. This covers your admission fee, first weeks rent, and last weeks rent. After the deposit, rent is $250.00 per week. This $250.00 covers their rent, utilities, transportation to and from groups and church, basic household necessities and groceries for 3 meals per day. The director shops for groceries once a week, and meal plans are laid out through the week.
