What if waiting is not wasted time, but preparation time?

Waiting is hard.

We want the answer now.
We want the door open now.
We want the plan clear now.
We want the pressure gone now.

But Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage.”

Waiting does not mean God forgot.
Waiting does not mean nothing is happening.
Waiting does not mean your faith is failing.

Sometimes God strengthens you while you wait.

Hold steady.
Keep praying.
Keep trusting.

What are you trusting God with in this waiting season?

What if the thing you keep carrying was meant to be laid before God?

Some things were never meant to stay bottled up.

The worry.
The bill.
The diagnosis.
The family tension.
The fear.
The stress.
The question you keep replaying.

2 Kings 19:14 shows Hezekiah taking a troubling letter and spreading it before the Lord.

That is a picture of prayer.

Bring the real thing.
Name it.
Lay it down.
Trust God with what you cannot fix alone.

God is not overwhelmed by what overwhelms you.

What is one thing you need to lay before God today?

Ever said “God is still working on me” right after saying something wild?

Some of us quote grace right after losing the fruit of the Spirit.

Proverbs 18:21 says death and life are in the power of the tongue.

Translation.
Words matter.

That clapback.
That sarcasm.
That gossip.
That “I am just being real.”

Funny truth.
Some people need a prayer meeting for their mouth before breakfast.

Which is harder, staying quiet or speaking with grace?

Sunday Service

We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, gay, rich, poor, we welcome all races, red, yellow, black and white you are all precious in His sight. You’re welcome here if you’re “just browsing,” just woke up, or just got out of jail. We don’t care if you’re more Lutheran than Martin Luther, or more Catholic than the Pope, or haven’t been in church since you attended your last funeral service.

We offer a special welcome to those who think the earth is flat, works too hard, can’t spell. We welcome republicans, democrats, or independents. We offer a special welcome to those who could really use a prayer right now, are three-times divorced, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome tourists, seekers, doubters, bleeding hearts … and you.

Welcome home!

BRIDGE Youth is building for this generation.

We are excited to introduce Pastor Kenny Wright-Gross as the BRIDGE Youth Pastor at GracePoint Valdosta.

Pastor Kenny brings a heart for students, a passion for discipleship, and a clear burden to help young people grow in Christ, walk in purpose, and live with bold faith. BRIDGE exists to reach 7th through 12th grade students and create a place where they find security, love, and their identity in Christ.

This ministry is about more than gatherings. It is about real connection, biblical teaching, strong mentorship, and Kingdom impact. We believe this generation carries purpose, and we are committed to helping students grow into all God has called them to be.

If you are looking for a place where your student will be challenged, encouraged, and equipped, BRIDGE Youth is for you.

Let’s show Pastor Kenny some love in the comments.

What is one word you would use to encourage this next season of BRIDGE Youth?

Drop a comment below and help us welcome Pastor Kenny to this new season.

Big news for Kingdom Kidz!

GracePoint Valdosta is excited to welcome Dr. Will Lewis and Dr. Jessica Lewis as the new leaders of Kingdom Kidz.

They are stepping into this role with a heart to lead the next generation with faith, love, purpose, and joy.

We also honor Pastor David Hewett and Pastor Teresa Hewett for their years of faithful service, leadership, and love for our children’s ministry. Their impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

Kingdom Kidz is entering a new season, and we believe God has great things ahead for every child, every family, and every leader serving in this ministry.

Help us welcome Dr. Will and Dr. Jessica Lewis to Kingdom Kidz!

What is one word of encouragement you would share with our new Kingdom Kidz leaders?

Your past happened, but it does not get the final word.

Philippians 3:13-14 reminds us to forget what is behind and reach forward toward what God has called us to.

Purpose requires focus.
Purpose requires obedience.
Purpose requires forward movement.

This week, do not let distraction pull you away from what God placed inside of you.

Reach forward.
Pray forward.
Serve forward.
Walk forward.

God did not bring you this far for you to lose focus now.

Question for you: What is one distraction you are asking God to help you move past so you can focus on your purpose?

Before you rebuke everybody, ask yourself one question. Did you eat?

Not every bad mood is deep spiritual warfare.
Sometimes you are tired.
Sometimes you are hungry.
Sometimes you need prayer and protein.

Proverbs 25:28 compares lack of self-control to a city broken into and left without walls.

Self-control matters in every area.
Attitude.
Appetite.
Reactions.
Energy.
Words.

Funny, but real.
A snack and a Psalm have saved many relationships.

Which one hits first, hunger or holiness?
