Good Lord’s Day morning FB family. This is our Sunday worship reminder. Christians, we must be reminded that we are married to Christ. The church is the bride of Christ. Paul likened the union of husband and wife to that of Christ and the church: “For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her”(Ephesians 5:23-25). Because of our union with Christ, we must remain faithful to Him. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for the church by going to the cross for our sins. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”(Romans 5:8). Another verse says, “And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed”(1 Peter 2:24). Christ showed His love for His bride by willingly dying on the cross, while we were not deserving of His love and forgiveness. Christ did it so that we would die to sin and live right, this is faithfulness to our Bridegroom. Amen! Since we are reminded of our Savior’s great love us, let us prepare to assemble together before Him, and let us encourage others to join us. Be blessed my beloved.

This weekend the Tri-Annual Youth Rally was a SUCCESS! The city of Albany did a GREAT job hosting this event! Our youths enjoyed themselves and met some life long friends/ brothers and sisters in Christ!! Ours kids participated in several of the events for the first time such as the bible bowl and spelling! Good job guys!! You make Southside Proud!
