Update after day 2 of VBS:
“Please pray for the families we’re serving through VBS, and that we don’t run out of food. It truly feels like Jesus feeding the 5,000! We have about 80–85 people—adults and kids—packed into that one-room church. We were at Walmart last night until 10:00 p.m. making sure we had everything we needed!

“One interesting thing about crossing the border: when we’re going into Mexico, we’re rarely stopped. We travel together in a caravan of three 15-passenger vans. Coming back is different. We all get out of the vans, walk about a mile across the bridge, and then get picked up on the U.S. side. It costs 60 cents to re-enter the United States.”

Mission VBS Day 1
“We crossed the border and immediately had broken hearts. I've done many mission trips. I've seen poverty. I have never seen the poverty we witnessed today. We were greeted with smiling, friendly faces, eager to learn all about Jesus. The crafts were a hit and the adults may have liked it even more than the kids! They also loved the walking tacos, the music and curriculum in Spanish. We have two wonderful translators! Families are so very grateful for our presence! VBS Day 1 is done and we've crossed over the border and are back in Texas! (The building is where the VBS takes place.)”
