🎉 **WHAT A WEEKEND, MMOOS!** 🎉

**Thanks be to God for three incredible days of our Annual Parish Bazaar!** 🙏❤️

What we witnessed this weekend was so much more than a successful parish event. We witnessed **our parish family at its very best** — working together, welcoming our neighbors, laughing together, serving side by side, and giving generously of ourselves for something we all love.

And these pictures tell the story. 📸

To our **AMAZING VOLUNTEERS**: THANK YOU! From setup to food, games, tickets, booths, hospitality, grounds, cleanup, and countless jobs behind the scenes — **you were phenomenal at every level.** Every shift mattered. Every helping hand mattered. Every act of generosity made this weekend possible.

And then came Sunday morning…

**More than 50 volunteers showed up between our Sunday Masses to help clean up!** 💪🙌

Think about that: after three long days of Bazaar, more than 50 members of our parish family came right back to make sure the work was finished. Because of that extraordinary response, our hardworking parish staff was able to enjoy **their first real break on a holiday weekend after Bazaar in years.**

**That is what a parish family looks like.**

This weekend reminded us that Mary, Mother of Our Savior is not simply a place where we attend Mass or come to events. **We belong to one another. We share the mission. And when everyone brings what they can, something beautiful happens.**

So as you look through these pictures, **be proud, MMOOS!** Be proud of your fellow parishioners. Be proud of our volunteers. Be proud of what we accomplished together.

Most of all, **give thanks to God**, from whom every blessing flows. May He bless every volunteer, every staff member, every visitor, every family, and every person who helped make these three days possible.

**THIS is Mary, Mother of Our Savior.**

This can include small plastic sandwich bags, paper sandwich bags, small bags of chips, small bags of cookies, popcorn, animal crackers. These items may be dropped off at the back of church near the Evanna’s Table area.

Sheila has helped build and lead Emmaus Ministry, a Catholic outreach serving the poor, marginalized, and people experiencing homelessness with dignity and compassion. Learn from those who have walked the road.
We aren't gathering simply to talk about homelessness. We are gathering to discern what the parish in our region might do about it. This conversation will help shape what comes next.

Come and See: OCIA Begins September 20

Have you ever wondered what Catholics believe or whether the Catholic Church might have a place in your life?

Have you thought about becoming Catholic?
Are you already baptized, but never received First Holy Communion or Confirmation?

Have you been coming to Mass with a Catholic spouse or family member and wondered what the next step might be?

Or perhaps you know someone a friend, coworker, neighbor, child, or grandchild who has been asking deeper questions about faith. If so, we would love to invite you to come and see.

This month, Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish begins a new year of the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). Some may remember its former name, RCIA. OCIA is the Church’s process for accompanying adults who are exploring the Catholic faith, considering becoming Catholic, or seeking to complete their initiation into the Church.

But OCIA is much more than a class or a checklist of requirements before receiving the sacraments. It is a journey of faith and conversion. Participants have an opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ more deeply, explore what Catholics believe and why, ask honest questions, pray together, experience the life of our parish community, and discern where God may be leading them.

OCIA is intended especially for adults who have never been baptized, Christians baptized in another tradition who are considering becoming Catholic, and baptized Catholics who never completed their Sacraments of Initiation. It is also a welcoming place for anyone seriously exploring the Catholic faith. Most importantly, you do not have to know whether you want to become Catholic before you come. There is no pressure or obligation. Inquiry is exactly that: an opportunity to ask questions, begin a conversation, and allow the Lord to lead from there.

This year, OCIA sessions will normally be held twice a month on Sunday mornings between our two morning Masses, helping participants connect their formation with Sunday Mass and the larger life of our parish community.

Our first inquiry session will be Sunday, September 20, from 9:15–10:15 a.m. in the Seton Center.
Father Pawel Zmija serves as our Director of OCIA, and we are pleased to announce that Andrew Kline will serve as our Associate Director.

Parish Bible Study: The Minor Prophets

Ancient Voices. A Living Word. A Call for Today.

This September, go deeper into God’s Word with Father Pawel as we explore the Twelve Minor Prophets of the Old Testament.

Over four weeks, we will discover who these prophets were, the world in which they lived, and the messages God entrusted to them. Though written centuries ago, their words still speak powerfully to our lives today calling us to deeper faith, conversion of heart, justice, hope, and trust in God’s mercy.

Studying Sacred Scripture is about more than gaining knowledge. It is an opportunity to encounter the living God, grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, and allow His Word to shape the way we live and serve others.

Wednesdays: September 2, 9, 16 & 23

Whether you have studied the Bible for years or are just beginning, you are welcome! Bring your Bible, bring your questions, and come discover what God may be saying to you through these ancient prophetic voices.

No previous Bible study experience is necessary. Coffee and donuts will be provided! Come open the Scriptures with us and let God’s Word speak anew.
