🍔 Happy National Hamburger Day!

It’s a great day to fire up the grill, gather with family and friends, and enjoy one of summer’s simple favorites—a good burger!

To celebrate National Hamburger Day (May 28), we asked some of our Trinity staff to share their favorite burger toppings—from the classics to some fun and creative picks!

It’s a reminder that even the small, everyday moments—like sharing a meal—are gifts from God.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above…” — James 1:17

👉 What do you like to put on your burger?
Let us know in the comments—we’d love to hear! 🍔💬

"Everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.
Does it matter about race? No.
Does it matter about age? No.
Does it matter about eye color?
Does it matter about hairstyle?
Does it matter about men or women?
Those who call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved."

"How many of you have experienced division in the chuch before? Whether someone's arguing about this, someone's complaining about that, and they start trying to tear a church apart...that's not what a church is supposed to be. That's not how a church is supposed to act. The church is not divided. The church is unified. The church is one body. The church is one." - Pastor Jones

In Luke 11, Jesus teaches His disciples to pray, “Give us each day our daily bread.” Shortly after, Jesus tells a parable about a traveler arriving at midnight. A man goes to his friend asking for bread so he can care for the weary traveler. Though it is late, the door is opened and the bread is given. Jesus continues, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Then Jesus says something remarkable: “What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent…or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?” Earthly fathers, though imperfect, still desire to care for their children. “How much more,” Jesus says, “will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13 ESV)

Our Father delights in giving good gifts to His children. He provides daily bread for our bodies, forgiveness for our sins, and through the Holy Spirit He provides what we need for faithful living. If we ask for more patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control, grace, or love, God does not mock us or turn us away. Through His Spirit, He works these fruits within us.

Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians, “Do not quench the Spirit.” Sometimes we resist what the Spirit is producing in us. We hold onto bitterness instead of forgiveness. We withhold patience from the person getting on our last nerve. We choose harshness instead of gentleness. But the Spirit desires to produce good fruit in us—not fruit that rots on the vine, but fruit that is shared freely with others.

Today, breathe deeply of what God desires to give. The Holy Spirit is still at work. He strengthens weary hearts, softens hardened ones, produces faithfulness, and equips us to love others even when it is difficult. Our Father knows exactly what His children need, and He delights in pouring out His Spirit upon His people.

May God pour out His Holy Spirit upon us, that our lives would reflect His goodness, His grace, and His faithfulness each day.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember.

We remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country—those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that others could live in freedom.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13 (ESV)

As we honor their courage, we also give thanks to God, who is our refuge and strength in every generation.

Today, we remember. We give thanks. And we entrust all to the Lord.

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We thank God for their courage, sacrifice, and love of neighbor. As we enjoy the freedoms we have been blessed with, may we never forget the cost at which they came.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13

As we reflect with gratitude this Memorial Day, we also invite you to mark your calendars for Trinity’s Freedom Celebration on Sunday, June 28.

At 4 pm, we will gather in the Sanctuary for a meaningful patriotic program walking through the story of our nation—from its founding and early days, through a nation divided, and into the present. Through Scripture, patriotic readings, hymns, prayer, and a special recognition of our veterans, we will thank God for 250 years of His faithfulness and blessings upon our nation.

Following the program, please stay for dinner and fellowship at 5 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

We hope you will attend this special evening of remembrance, gratitude, and community as we celebrate God’s faithfulness through every season.

This Pentecost weekend, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit and the beautiful truth that in Christ, we are one Church, one family, and one body.

On Pentecost, people from many nations and languages heard the Good News proclaimed through the power of the Holy Spirit. Still today, the Spirit continues to gather, unite, strengthen, and send God’s people into the world with the hope of Jesus Christ. In a world often divided by opinions, backgrounds, and differences, Pentecost reminds us that our unity is not found in ourselves, but in Christ alone.

Come worship this weekend, giving thanks for the work of the Holy Spirit, and celebrating the unity we share as God’s people. Come hear God’s Word, receive His gifts, and stand together as one body in Christ. Remember to wear red to worship this weekend as we celebrate Pentecost!

Our summer worship schedule starts this weekend. You are invited to worship on Saturday at 5:30 pm (traditional) onsite or Sunday at 9 am (traditional) or 10:30 am (contemporary in the gym). Because of Memorial Day, there is no worship on Monday, May 25 and the building will be closed. If you are out of town, please this link to watch the livestream: https://www.trinityutica.com/live.
