PRAYERS AND BLESSINGS! The entire staff of DJM looks forward to God’s next move for your life Rev.

This week has been challenging and emotional with the passing of my dad. However, in light of that I wanted to share some news that he was most proud of.

I’m Moving to New York City! 🗽🚘

After much thought I have decided to leave Utica close this chapter and move to New York City to continue my education at Union Theological Seminary.

There are so many things to say and so many to thank! While to some this is a shock I want you all to know that I did not make this decision lightly. It had been my silent plans to stay active and involved — to continue share my experience and work toward making Utica a better place. I love my community and will miss you all.

This is mixed because it is not a see you later but a good bye. I will continue to chair the Collective Impact Network until the completion of the Renaissance Center in Cornhill. After, I will allow another to lead the group.

That said, NYC I’m coming to town! I’m looking forward to connecting with everyone, exploring, and engaging in deep dialogue.

16 Years ago today I mounted the pulpit at 1304 Genesee St. House of God Church in Utica, NY to deliver my trial sermon. I preached a messaged entitled: "Im going to wait on the lord."

I was only 10 years old. Due to my age, Bishop R.W. Fletcher (My Chief Overseer and State Bishop) sent Bishop Minnie Crawford to Utica to give a report of the "baby preacher".

She sent back only three words: "Anointed. Appointed. Approved."

From that time until now I have never dropped the mantle that has been on my life. No walk is without mistakes but I'm grateful to God that he has never took his hand off of my life.
