✝️ “My wife! My children!”

When a fellow prisoner at Auschwitz cried out after being chosen to die, St. Maximilian Kolbe stepped forward and offered his own life in the man’s place.

But that extraordinary act of sacrifice was only the final chapter of a remarkable life of faith, devotion to the Blessed Mother, evangelization, and courage in the face of N**i persecution.

In our August Lecturer’s Report, Brother Bob Walz shares the story of St. Maximilian Kolbe — priest, Franciscan, and martyr of charity.

Take a few minutes to read his story. It is a powerful reminder of what it truly means to lay down one’s life for another.
