Every day, my wife and I are choosing each other. Not because we always agree, but because our covenant is greater than our emotions. Marriage isn’t about winning arguments; it’s about protecting what God has joined together.

5 DO’S OF MARRIAGE
✅ Pray together.
✅ Communicate honestly.
✅ Protect each other’s dignity.
✅ Forgive quickly.
✅ Choose love every single day.

5 DON’TS OF MARRIAGE
❌ Don’t embarrass your spouse publicly.
❌ Don’t compare your marriage to someone else’s.
❌ Don’t let pride win.
❌ Don’t stop dating each other.
❌ Don’t allow outside voices to become louder than your covenant.

Men, I can’t do my wife how some of y’all do yours in public—full of embarrassment, and I say that in love. I will never let another woman have a greater voice, influence, or place in my marriage than my wife. My covenant comes first, and I intend to honor it.

Today Chloe’ didn’t want my help going up the steps.

Every part of me wanted to reach out and carry her, but sometimes love doesn’t grab a hand. Sometimes love lets go.

So I stood back and watched her take one step at a time. She stumbled a little, but she kept climbing.

As a parent, that’s one of the hardest lessons to learn. We can’t fight every battle, solve every problem, or carry our children forever. Our job is to prepare them, encourage them, and trust that what we’ve poured into them will carry them farther than our hands ever could.

Sometimes the greatest act of love is believing they can make it on their own.

One step today. Greater confidence tomorrow. ❤️

How April 17, 2023 Changed My Life ❤️

Some dates become memories. Others become milestones that redefine the course of your life.

For me, that date is April 17, 2023.

At 24 years old, I was carrying wounds that no one could see. Rejection had stolen my confidence. Failed relationships had left me questioning my value. I smiled in public while privately trying to put the broken pieces of my heart back together.

Then God rewrote my story.

He did not simply answer a prayer for a relationship. He answered a deeper prayer for healing. In His perfect timing, He brought Cleopatra Ashanti Pennymon into my life. She never rushed my healing, never weaponized my past, and never expected me to become someone overnight. Through her patience, consistency, and love, God began restoring what pain had almost destroyed.

Today, we have celebrated two incredible years of marriage, and I am reminded that the greatest love stories are not built on perfection. They are built on grace, commitment, forgiveness, and a shared pursuit of Christ.

If you are in a season of heartbreak, do not lose hope. God has a way of restoring what life tried to ruin. He can heal the heart you thought would never beat the same again. Your scars do not disqualify you from experiencing healthy, God honoring love.

One thing is certain. Two things are for sure.

I will never stop thanking God for the woman who stood beside me while He was putting me back together.

Forever is not just a promise we made to each other. It is a testimony of what God can do when two people surrender their lives to Him.

In a world that moves fast, I’ve learned that real love isn’t found in grand moments—it’s built in the ordinary ones. The hugs after hard days. The laughter that heals. The prayers no one else hears. The decision to choose each other again and again.

Marriage isn’t about finding someone perfect. It’s about finding someone worth growing with, forgiving, praying for, and fighting for—not fighting against.

I thank God for the gift of doing life with my best friend. Here’s to choosing love, grace, and commitment every single day. ❤️

A father’s presence is one of the greatest gifts a child will ever receive.

Men, your children don’t need a perfect dad. They need a present one.

The job will replace you.
The money will come and go.
The hobbies can wait.
But your children only get one childhood.

Put down the phone.
Turn off the game.
Make the memories.
Lead with love.
Protect with courage.
Pray with them.
Show them what integrity looks like.

One day they’ll remember how you made them feel more than what you bought them.

Real success isn’t measured by your bank account. It’s measured by the lives that call you Dad.

That smile on her face says more than words ever could.

It’s the joy of a family built on faith, the peace that comes from God’s grace, and the love we share every day. Through the highs and the lows, one thing remains true: Jesus is the foundation of our home.

We’re not a perfect family, but we serve a perfect Savior. Every laugh, every hug, and every smile is a reminder that God has been good to us.

The Pennymons are grateful for God’s love, His mercy, and the blessing of doing life together.

POV: You spent the day with a Pastor’s wife and a mama with 2 under 2. 💕👶🏽👶🏽

We started the day at a play date with the girls making memories and burning energy. 😂
Then it was off to Office Depot getting our VBS poster ready for June because ministry never sleeps. ✈️📍

After that we made a GFS run getting prepared for Mother’s Day at Urbana Friends Church because serving God also means serving people with excellence. 💐

Then came unloading everything at the church because teamwork makes the dream work. 🙌🏽

And to end the night? Family time at Los Cabos with good food, tired kids, and full hearts. ❤️

This is motherhood.
This is ministry.
This is marriage.
This is purpose.
