We will bend in this life but know you don't need to break.

Hello My Brothers,
I hope your week has gone well. I want to share some thoughts with you today and trust that it will bless you.
**"Discovering Your 'Enough' with Jesus"**
In life, we often find ourselves weaving threads of longing, desire, and pursuit. We chase after dreams, accumulate possessions, and seek fulfillment. Yet, amidst this bustling quest, there comes a moment—a sacred pause—when we ask ourselves: **"When is enough truly enough?"**
Let's explore this journey of contentment, where the physical and spiritual realms meet:
1. **The Quest for Enough**:
- Life unfolds before us, a canvas painted with both vibrant hues and muted shades. We encounter joys that lift our spirits and sorrows that weigh us down. In this dance, we seek "enough."
- But what is "enough"? Is it a certain bank balance, a specific number of possessions, or a particular level of success? The answer eludes us, slipping through our fingers like sand.
2. **Beyond the Tangible**:
- "Enough" extends beyond the tangible. It encompasses the whispers of the soul, the yearning for purpose, and the hunger for meaning.
- Our hearts ache for more than mere sustenance; they crave spiritual nourishment. We long for connection—with ourselves, with others, and with the Divine.
3. **The Whisper of Eternity**:
- As we walk life's winding path, we stumble upon a truth: **Jesus is always enough.**
- He is the whisper of eternity, the anchor for our restless souls. In Him, we find completeness—a fullness that transcends circumstances.
- When the world clamors for more, Jesus whispers, "I am your 'enough.'"
4. **Experience as Our Guide**:
- Our journey shapes us. We learn through valleys and mountaintops, through laughter and tears.
- I, too, discovered that Jesus is my sufficiency. Not just in theory, but through life's twists and turns. His grace sustained me when my strength waned.
5. **Step One: Peace of Mind**:
- To embrace "enough," we must first find peace of mind. It's a quiet surrender—a laying down of burdens.
- Amidst life's storms, we lift our eyes to the heavens. We pray, we supplicate, and we pour out our hearts. And in that sacred exchange, peace descends—a peace that defies logic.
6. **The Personal Encounter**:
- Step one is incomplete without a personal encounter with Jesus. Not the distant Savior of history books, but the living Christ who walks beside us.
- He knows our names, our fears, and our dreams. He listens when we speak, and His love envelops us like a warm embrace.
7. **Philippians 4:6-7**:
- These verses illuminate our path:
> "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
- Here lies the secret: **prayer, gratitude, and surrender**. In this holy exchange, peace stands guard over our hearts.
So, dear seeker of "enough," know this: **You are seen, known, and cherished. Jesus—the Alpha and Omega—is your sufficiency.** In Him, you find rest, purpose, and the quiet assurance that you are enough.
May your journey be graced with the peace that surpasses understanding. 🙏✨

Blessings,

Hello, My Brothers in the Lord,
I hope things are well for you today. I want to share a nugget of wisdom regarding the Word of God from the scriptures below:
James 4:6-8
But he gives us more and more strength to stand against all such evil longings. As the Scripture says, God gives strength to the humble but sets himself against the proud and haughty.7 So give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and let your hearts be filled with God alone to make them pure and true to him.

As men, many opportunities are contrary to the path God has set just for us. God gives us His strength to overcome the stuff the world has in store. The question is, how do we receive God’s strength to overcome?
1. Humble yourself before God. Leave the proud spirit, chip on your shoulder, and arrogance behind. Let God the Father know you need His help.
2. Resist the temptation(s) that are before you. Keep at bay, fend off, or flee from your temptation. When you have a desire for the things of God sometimes you must run away from the things not pleasing. If you go places that compromise your walk with the Lord, consider not going there.
3. Get close to God and He will get close to you IF you desire.
4. If you feel as though you don’t need to resist the devil, humble yourself, or get close to God, the alternative will occur.
 The Lord will resist you.
 You will not receive the strength of the Lord.
 You will remain where you are.
Run mightily toward God as if you were on a football field, going for the touchdown, running full speed, jumping over, hitting, and being hit by the opposing team. Keeping your eyes on the goal, pressing your way through, knowing that victory is in view.
Be blessed,
Pastor Joe W Glass Jr

Dear Brothers in the Lord,

I trust this message finds you well as we embark on the journey of a new year. Have you set any resolutions for 2024? Personally, I've committed to cultivating "a made-up mind." It struck me last year that, in our pursuit of following Christ, having a resolute and steadfast mind is paramount. While the concept may seem simple, its significance becomes evident when faced with life's challenges. When our minds are firmly anchored in God's purposes, the distractions and cares of the world no longer dictate our agenda.

The apostle Paul, in Ephesians 4:17, declares, "With the Lord's authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused." How reassuring it is to know that God has granted us the authority to live with hope and a future!

In Ephesians 4:21-24, Paul further elaborates, "Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy."
As we bid farewell to the year gone by, remember that the past cannot be altered. However, the dawn of 2024 holds promise and opportunity. Your commitment to allowing the power of God to renew your mind is paving the way for a bright and fulfilling future, driven by the desire to please Him.

May this year be one of continued growth, steadfast faith, and unwavering dedication to living following God's will.

Blessings,

Philippians 3:13-14
No, dear brothers, I am still not all I should be, but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us.
