Becoming More Beautiful

Becoming More Beautiful Debbie Milton is a Speaker, Certified Christian Life Coach, and founder of Becoming More Beautiful.

Becoming More Beautiful exists to disciple women to become like Jesus. We are a movement redefining beautiful by pursuing Jesus and living out the beauty of the gospel. We accomplish this through women's events, conferences, Bible studies, resources, and our life coaching program. The heartbeat of our ministry is 2 Corinthians 3:18: Our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.

To Get Her to Jesus Together is Beautiful https://wix.to/TSvaaXl

When women come together, becoming happens. Tucked beautifully inside the word together are three words: to get her. Unfortunately, the enemy wants to get her isolated rather than together in community.

In the book of Mark, the story of the four nameless men carrying the paralyzed man is a powerful example of what it looks like when community comes together “to get her” to Jesus by any means necessary.

We all have had paralyzing times in our lives spiritually, emotionally, or physically when we needed to be carried.

It's beautiful when we come together in community to get her to Jesus—even if you need to carry her or like the paralyzed man—be willing to be carried.

Ten Women Who Said Yes to the Word of the Year Invitation and How My Word is Growing Me https://wix.to/EzYmlz2

Since January, I’ve been coaching a group of ten amazing women (ages 30 to 60's) who invested and chose a Word of the Year as an invitation for spiritual growth.

A Word of the Year is a single word that you choose (or it chooses you) to bring clarity to who you want to become and what you want to accomplish.

Here’s the thing—If the word you choose takes you out of your comfort zone or exposes in your life patterns that reveal the opposite of your word, then you know it is a life-changing word meant to grow you.

Walk in the Light, Beautiful Light https://wix.to/WNCdlGA

The urgency of the message in John 12:35 reminded me of the Best-Loved Bible Songs book that my granddaughter sang along with until the battery depleted.

Pressing the interactive buttons on the wooden side panel would allow her to play a different song though her favorite song to play was—This Little Light of Mine—a Sunday School Classic song for children.

John 12:35: So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.”

What I Nailed to the Cross and How it Can Help You

Be inspired by what I nailed to the cross on Easter Sunday at church and how Jesus met me there at the cross and how it can help you in the devotional.

Many Christians want to live as true followers of Christ, but their wills—what they want—often get in the way. The “Nevertheless, not my will” of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:39) was the ultimate surrender of human will to God’s will. At this season in my life and in my ministry, seeking to do t...

Easter Sunday: What If Jesus Appeared To You After The Resurrection Like He Did Others? https://wix.to/0XkZhz5

Now that we have celebrated the resurrection of Jesus at Easter Sunday services, enjoyed dinner, and gathered with family—now what?

How do we keep the resurrection and renewal a reality? How do we keep “he has risen” applicable?

In the article, Resurrection as a Lifestyle, Daniel Henderson writes: We dare not put the idea of Christ’s resurrection into the “Easter weekend” box and somehow pack it away until next year. Rather, Christ wants the reality of His resurrection to be the central power and passion of our lives every day of the year.

Here is a question I want to ask you that I asked myself. What if Jesus appeared to you over the forty-day period like he did others after the resurrection before he ascended to heaven?

Holy Saturday: More Than A Busy Day Before Easter https://wix.to/l9wUWrb

Holy Saturday is defined as a day of silence and stillness, marking the sacred pause between the sorrow of Good Friday and the joy of Easter Sunday.

The beautiful tradition of the Saturday before Easter Sunday for many of us is anything but still. The hair salon is packed with women getting their hair and nails done, ironing and laying out clothes and possibly a fancy hat, picking up a Honey Bake Ham, starting to prepare family dinner...some of the things on the agenda for the day.

But unless you create space for stillness with the Savior, you can easily find yourself going through the motions of Easter getting caught in the busyness of the holiday without engaging your heart.

Paul engaged us in the importance as well as the implications of the eye-opening question in 1 Corinthians 15:17-18.

Grab or download the Easter Spiritual Renewal Devotional today as we dive into Day 2 Holy Saturday of this 3 Day Devotional.
