A word from Pastor Kevin

October is set aside as Pastor Appreciation Month…

For right at 12 years, my family and I faithfully served the congregation of Heritage Baptist Church in Reynolds, Ga. I can tell you without any doubt, we were blessed to feel so loved and appreciated by the believers there.

After leaving there and coming to Upatoi Community Church, I honestly just was hoping for a group of believers that put Jesus first. I really wasn’t even thinking about how fast October would come. It seems like yesterday was our first Sunday at Upatoi. But we have already been there for five months and now my first Pastor Appreciation Month in our new church home. So let me show appreciation to Upatoi!

1. Thank you for loving my family.

2. Thank you for your patience with us as we made the transition.

3. Thank you for catching hold of God’s Vision for Upatoi.

4. Thank you for having crazy faith to just believe God can do amazing things!

5. Thank you for all the encouragement I get every Sunday and Wednesday by your attendance.

6. Thank you for your passion to see the lost, be found.

7. Thank you for laughing at my jokes..
Laughter is medicine for the soul.

8. Thank you for you loving kindness towards visitors and new church members.

9. Thank you for standing firm on Gods Word.

And last but not least….

10. Thank you for giving a poor kid like me, an opportunity to serve Jesus as I serve you…

Happy Congregation Appreciation Month! It goes both ways….

We love you!

It's no secret that October is Pastor Appreciation Month....

It's also not a secret that Pastor Kevin likes banana pudding. So the youth group got Pastor K the main ingredient for banana pudding, bananas! 🍌🍌🍌

Blessed and Highly Favored is he who has a bushle of bananas!

By the way, there was banana pudding after church today!

Also, Larkin and Johnny rolled in 2 suitcases full of sunglasses, which will be handed out in Kenya!

Thank you to everyone that donated sunglasses, brought food and spoke encouraging words over this mission team!

Praise God!
