A fresh snowfall always brings memories—but also a reminder of how Isaiah’s promise, “white as snow,” speaks across cultures and experiences.

A Ugandan pastor once told me he didn’t truly grasp that verse until he saw real snow for the first time. That moment reshaped his understanding of God’s forgiveness.

I share that story (and more) in a new piece.

Resurrection Day has arrived! 🌅

Mary came running from the tomb: “Jesus’ body is gone!”

Peter and John rushed to see—and what they found hinted at something holy… two angels, like the cherubim atop the Ark of the Covenant.

Then in the garden, through tears and confusion, Mary heard her name:
“Mary…”

It was Jesus. Alive.
Not the gardener. The Creator.
And just like that, a new beginning burst forth from the garden.

Today, the risen Christ still calls us by name—bringing light, life, hope, and rebirth.

“I was not. I was. I am not. I don’t care.”

That’s what ancient Roman gravestones once declared—etched into stone as a final shrug at life and death.

No hope. No meaning. No resurrection.

But what if that’s not the end of the story?

One conversation at a cemetery during Holy Week reminded a grieving man—and maybe all of us—that there is more.

Why Doesn’t John Mention the Passover at the Last Supper?

While Matthew, Mark, and Luke show Jesus eating the Passover meal with his disciples, John’s Gospel tells a different story. But it's not a contradiction—it’s a deeper connection.

John wants us to see Jesus as the Passover lamb.

As lambs were being prepared for sacrifice in the Temple, Jesus was being handed over to be crucified—at the same time, in the same place.

“Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”
(John 1:29)

Blood on the door.
Bread on the table.
A people reborn.

Moses said, “Get ready. Tonight we go free.”
The blood of lambs marked their homes.
The death angel passed over.
And Israel stepped into a new story.

Centuries later, another Lamb sat at a Passover table.

But this time, he held the bread and said:
“This is my body.”

Unleavened. New. Untainted.
A reset for humanity.
A do-over for the world.

That night, a new family was born.

And Jesus gave them a name tag:
“They’ll know you’re mine by your love.”

Could it be that Judas didn’t mean to betray him?
He meant to ignite him?

To provoke the revolution.
To push the King into action.

He believed in Jesus.
He carried the cause.
He was one of the Twelve.

But when Jesus embraced children instead of calling rebels...
When he dined with traitors instead of striking the enemy...
Judas started thinking: Someone needs to wake him up.

So he made a plan.

And then…
everything unraveled.

The Mount of Olives was always watching.
Sometimes peaceful. Sometimes threatening.
Solomon built shrines there. Assyrians hurled insults from it.
And Jesus? He wept, prayed, and taught beneath its ancient trees.

From this ridge, the King looked over His city…
and saw the cross coming.

They didn’t realize how close the crisis was.
Isn’t that always the case?

The glory left the building.

Ezekiel saw it—God’s presence rising, departing, gone.
The Temple fell.
The people wept.
And for generations, the question echoed: Would God ever come back?

Then one day, the wild man in the desert began shouting:
"Prepare the way!"

And not long after… Jesus walked into the Temple.
The Owner had returned.
And He was ready to clean house.

They didn’t even remember him.
David was the youngest, the smallest, the afterthought. Left in the fields while his brothers met the prophet.

And yet… he was the one God had chosen.

Fast forward 1,000 years: Another unlikely King — descended from David — rides into Jerusalem to the roar of a crowd.

"Hosanna to the Son of David!"
Here comes the King.
