Great news — the pool is officially open! The not-so-great news is that the water is still too cold for swimmers, so we're adjusting our schedule a bit.

Here's where we stand:

Wednesday, May 13th — Evaluations, 4:30–5:30 PM
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1W5v53JhRPg9--hl37LT9VGhR0QHAZ2teeLSCgpV4pIc/edit?gid=0 =0

Since we've had to push the evaluation date, I know Wednesday may not work for everyone. Please take a look at your sign-up, and if the new timing doesn't fit your schedule, just reach out — we'll do our best to find a time that works for you.

A quick heads-up: please pack warm clothes for your swimmer to change into once they're out of the water!

Thursday, May 14th — Make-Up Evaluations, 4:30–5:30 PM Need a make-up slot? Send me a message and we'll get you scheduled.

Monday, May 18th — First Day of Practice! We can't wait to get the season started!

See you on deck — Go Barracudas! 🦈

🏊‍♀️ Calling all new Briar Chapel Barracudas! 🏊‍♂️

New to the team or just getting started with summer swim? We can't wait to meet your swimmer at our 2026 Swim Team Evaluations!

📅 Monday, May 11th

⏰ 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM

📍 Briar Chapel Pool

Evaluations are short, low-pressure, and help our coaches determine if they are ready for the swim team. Your swimmer will simply swim a length of the pool so we can see their stroke and comfort level — no experience needed!

What to bring: swimsuit, goggles, towel, water bottle, and a smile! 😊

🔗 Sign up for a 10-minute time slot here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1W5v53JhRPg9--hl37LT9VGhR0QHAZ2teeLSCgpV4pIc/edit?gid=0 =0

Each slot fits up to 4 swimmers — claim your time today!

Questions? Drop them in the comments or email [email protected].

Registration will be reopened on the first day of practice to secure your spot on the team.

We can't wait to see your swimmer on the deck! 🦈
